Whitehall Products Standard Wall Illuminator Solar Address Lamp, Black

Bought this item from a big brand store years ago, needed a replacement and luckily found it here on amazon. perfect fit and works like a charm, great buy.

I got tried of delivery drivers not being able to find my house or deliverying my neighbors packages because they couldnt see the house number. I was looking for a solar light solution. I know some of the reviews speak negatively about this light. So far, my experience has been great. It is easy to install, quality is great for the price, and the light is a clean bright white light. It looks great during the day and awesome at night. Highly recommend this light!

This is the second one of these I've purchased to illuminate our house numbers. The first one used 2 NiCad batteries and worked OK, but finally died completely after about 5 years, despite new batteries. Its weakness was that the batteries didn't charge well here in western Oregon and needed a manual charge every month or so in the winter. The new one has a lithium battery that I hope will work better. After 2 weeks of use it is going strong. I've looked and looked for alternative illumination, and this is the only one that seemed to be designed for house numbers that had enough reach from the wall to do a decent job. I still think they are over-priced, but it was my only choice.

I am seriously concerned that the plastic this is made of will not survive my Texas sun but we will see. Also the battery does not last all night. I really got this so the Pizza delivery guy can find my house on a very dark street... as long as I'm not ordering pizza at 2am I think I'm good.

The light could have a shorter base and not stick out so far. The right LED (there are 3) was misaligned slightly and caused a dark line on the street number it was illuminating. I easily disassembled and realigned it and works fine now. Minor manufacturing slip. Otherwise, works very well and easy to install.

I bought this unit from whitehall. It came with all the parts. Very good looking and had a very nice lighting but did not last long at all. I had to charge the batteries every other night. Too much trouble for me. I wished they made a 12 volt verson of this I would buy it tomarrow. Was disapointed to say the least 9/5/2015 repurchase this Item and removed the batteries. I then rewired it for a 3 volt operation with a 3 volt step down transformer. works wonderfull and no need to check for battery power.I know it was a lot of work,but it was worth it great lighting and looks good Larry M

It gets the job done but it's not as bright as I thought it would be.

Nice looking and easy to install. Gave it four stars instead of five because the light is blue-ish and not as bright as you might want.

Do not buy this! Unit will not stay lit up for more than an hour or two. I thought it might be the rechargeable batteries that came with it so switched those out for new, high end rechargeables and still no improvement. The charging part of this product is totally ineffective so be warned.
