I made an entertainment center and a bookshelf out of some wooden shelves that my friend gave me. I also made a small end table with the short left over bits. fast forward a few years and I got the idea to insert cupholders into the end table. I used an oversized coffee mug to draw my lines for the holes and cut them with the jigsaw. I sized the holes just right because the cupholder inserts fit securely no need for adheasive etc. I thought that they could also work for a tv remote control, and it will it you have a short remote won't work with excessively long remote controls not deep enough for that. If I find another use for these cupholders then i will buy more of them in the future.

Another use for these
Bought these to be cup holders in the booth of our motor home. They were so slick that I installed them in the arms of a couple overstuffed chairs at home, too. So nice when we have a glass when we sit, there is a handy place to place it. No tipping over etc. I bought six of them.Simple --make paper circle the size of the body of the cup (not the upper edge). Trace onto the arm of chair. I had to poke the tip of the scissors in the middle to cut out the circle. Then use a sharp knife (I used serrated) to cut into the foam until you have removed the depth of the cup. Try for size. Cut out more foam if needed. When it slides in comfortably, spread glue around the edge of the circle and generously spread glue on all outside surfaces of the cup. Slide it in the hole - make sure the upper lip is on top of the circle. Wipe off any oozing glue. Place a couple books on it and tomorrow it will serve as a cup holder on your favorite chair!

So easy, you could do this while your wife is getting ready for dinner!
These cup holders are fantastic! I’ve modified two of my cars to accept these larger diameter cup holders. Why did I wait so long?!I found it very easy to remove the existing cup holder and trim piece, mark the outline and then use my Dremel and a tile cutting bit to remove the material.

When they said "Large", they meant it!
These things are *big* - almost too big for a vehicle.Quality seems decent, but considering it's a basic injection-molded part, it'd be pretty hard to make it poorly.A 12oz can fits in the lower step nicely, but the cupholder's big for just about every other drink/bottle i've dropped in there.Almost (but not quite) big enough for a 1L Nalgene bottle.3D printer's going to get some work making inserts for the cupholder to reduce the size. Not a bad thing, just know they're big.

Nice upgrade for our folding chairs
I used these to replace smaller diameter inserts in ourfolding chairs. It was easy to mark and cut a larger hole for the new inserts. Looks professional.

Make sure about size
Material is very durable and resistant but its to large for the hole i had to shave around edges in my sofa in order to fit ...double the work I shouldn't need to do these 4star on quality but in size I will give a 2 🌟

Great cup inserts for RV
Purchased the inserts for some that were missing in my RV. They were a perfect fit.

Not the right size for any glass I have. Must fit cans only.
I tried 4 different drinking glasses I have and none would fit into smaller tapered hole at bottom. They all teetered on it, not sitting level. Even my 32 oz Yeti cup.
