Piscifun Onyx Braided Fishing Line, Superline Abrasion Resistant Braided Lines, Zero Stretch Super Strong, Low Memory, Fast Water Cutting PE Fishing Lines, 6lb-150lb

Hello Anglers,I was asked by Cathy, a owner of Piscifun if I would provide a honest review and my opinion of the product that I purchased. I purchased the Piscifun 80lb braid in black.From the start I was a little on the fence about trying a new brand that was completely unfamiliar to me. I have in the past been a loyal customer to a brand that is very familiar to most braided line fisherman. I'm not sure if I can post the name so I'll let you fill in the blanks and most should be able to figure it out. The name is P-W-R-P-O. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about that product.In the beginning I was a little concerned about the quality of the Piscifun line due to the fact it seemed it was not color fast because it turned my fingers black when I spooled my reel. I thought for sure it would wash out as soon as I put it in the water and stain everything black while I was fishing. I was pleasantly surprised that didn't happen although, the line did eventually end up a dark grey rather than true black.I put a lot of faith in this Piscifun line trying it for the first time considering it's first test was under tournament conditions at a local Halibut derby this past weekend 5/25-5/26 2016. I was bouncing 3lb cannon ball weights with spreader bar and large herring with squid hoochie's. Didn't win 1st place but did win 2nd place with a 69.7lb Pacific Halibut for a $2500.00 prize.The Piscifun line performed beautifully with absolutely no problems. All the knots held great with no slippage and I had no break offs or any line failure at all. I plan to try more of their lines on all my salmon rods this summer and into the fall here in the NW. I would recommend Piscifun braided line to anyone that has or may be considering trying something new. I was not given anything, products, money or otherwise for this review just merely asked for an honest opinion and I'm in no way affiliated with the Piscifun company. I have several different lb braided lines for different occasions. Really like the 15lb and the 20lb. Works great in all water types and casts great along with being extremely abrasion resistant. Definitely will be buying more.

Good product, but it FADES terribly, the bright blue is nearly white after maybe 15 trips of no more than 2hrs at a time shore fishing in bay water.

Used on fishing trip in Canada and very reliable for walleye and pike

I wanted to give this braid a true work out before I commented on its performance and MY opinion of it. I have used Power Pro for bass fishing several times in the past and I just simply did not like it. It retains memory and for me didnt cast well. I am also an avid crappie fisherman so I decided to purchase this Onyx 6lb test in yellow. After using it this summer I am Very happy with it. It is extremely limp, super strong and casts every bit as good as monofilament. Fill your reel up but don't overfill and you will be happy too. If you overfill you will get the wind knots and thats not fun. I use it tied directly to a 1/16 crappie jig and it casts great as crappie are not line shy. I have a reel spooled up with it now in which I have a short clear monofilament leader tied to the braid with a crazy alberto knot and a gold number 4 hook in which I intend to fish a red creme angle worm across the shoals at my local trout river, I think it will work awesome for that. Get you a spool of this tiny diameter braid and try it, I think you will like it-note: I am using long light action rods with this 6'6" and 7' rods.

This line is great it’s super colorful and casts extremely good for the price the downside is that it bleeds so much I used this on a white reel and my reel is practically blue now just a head up .

Got a couple free spools on a deal when I purchased some Piscifun reels. Now it is definitely my favorite braid. I run it on all of my customer rods and personal rods. A great product at a really good price point!

Piscifun ONYX Braided Line very good line with good feel with no noticeable water absorption into the line and very tangle free line my first time using the line I pulled out a nice size smooth houndwe have to give this line 10 out of 10 very good price and good quality product.
