This is the 3rd one if these e-files I’ve purchased from melody susie. The first worked for a few months then stopped working, it would work intermittently and cut out depending the angle I held the handset. I contacted melody susie customer service and was sent a new hand piece which worked fine for just over a year then the same problem started to happen, the drill would cut out and work intermittently. It was out of warranty by this point so I purchased a new e-file.I couldn’t afford a more expensive brand e-file so had no choice but to buy this one again and I was glad I did.When the new one arrived I could tell improvements had been made to the e-file since I first purchased this model. It felt more sturdy and better built, the screen now shows if it’s in reverse or forwards, the hand piece feels more heavy duty and also better built, less flimsy it has a good weight to it which the older one didn’t have. As soon as I turned it on it just feels different, different in a good way. Melody susie have obviously read the reviews and worked to make the Scamander drill a much better quality e-file. I’m confident this hand piece won’t break like the other 2 and will last a lot longer 😊

Bought to clean up resin printed parts quality aluminium hand piece with tool less bit change win win many times I've lost the dremal spanner to undo the collet I've owned many of dremal rotary tools and all have let the smoke out for the price you can't go wrong I know it's meant for nails but it works like a charm breezed through what I need it too do didn't even have it at half power only time Will tell if the tool less bit change last put it feels like a quality item

Where do I begin with this. Purchased an alternative Melody Suzie Nail Drill (the one where the hand piece slots in the middle when not in use), absolutely loved it and it worked like a treat, no issues whatsoever. Received a recall notice from Amazon - had to return it & would be refunded. I did and waited for my refund. Contacted customer service who were rude and virtually told me I was wrong to have returned it. After much back and forth and presenting the recall email Amazon sent to me I eventually received my refund.Having returned my original nail drill I needed an alternative nail drill and this was the one I picked believing it wouldn’t let me down after reading the reviews despite it costing more than the original nail drill.(Incidentally turns out the recall was dropped by Amazon in the interim, as in fact the original nail drill didn’t have an issue after all).This nail drill arrived, worked well, held the charge, I was happy and even bought a stand to put it on to keep it safe, as I don’t use the clip.There were slight fluctuations with the hand piece holding a speed but I got to know where to place the dial so it didn’t happen, plus as I didn’t use it at high speeds wasn’t that much of an issue.Fast forward to now, 3 months later. Bear in mind this hasn’t been used excessively, never been dropped, plus I use dust protectors on the hand piece and on a whole it looks like new.The handset started to make a change in noise, then it just stopped working. I, like others, still have the lcd display and you can feel a dull thud of power reaching the hand piece when you increase the speed, but it does nothing.I’ve had it 3 months and 1 day and it’s stopped working.Despite being very disappointed having spent £70 on it, I thought no problem I can return it to Amazon as ITS A FAULTY ITEM and not fit for purpose. Turns out no I can’t, you need to contact the manufacturer directly, who I have now completely lost faith in and wouldn’t buy from again.Overall I’m pretty disgusted and most definitely wouldn’t recommend this item. At a cost of £70 I would expect this item to last, and if it develops a fault be returnable for a full refund.

The media could not be loaded. My first impression was very good.. well packaged, with manual and offer of extended warranty, I tried the drill before charge it, and worked silenciously and no vibration.. light and beautiful, I'm really impressed. I didnt use it continuously, I just received it today, but I loved itPs: after 1 month and a half using, the pen overheated and stopped working. I contacted the warranty and they gave me a refund!

Very pleased with drill good value for money. Lightweight.It is a replacement as the first one was faulty. Their customer service was excellent. Replaced it and I have had no problems since.

I find this nail drill easy to use. I had one for a few weeks, but it stopped working. However, Johnny offered to replace it and sent me a new one promptly. So far, I haven't encountered any issues with the new one.I’m satisfied with the quality of the service and the attention given to customer needs.

gave this gift for my sister on new years and she loved it as she used it for work instead of using company nail drills,when the time came the nail drill died on her but the warranty was very quick and easy to deal with ( spoke with Johnny )overall perfect

Has this product for 13 months. Very good, little to no vibrations. Powerful enough for acrylic removals. Handpeice developed a broken wire inside and kept cutting out when at certain angles. Upon contacting company to purchase a new handpiece I'm informed they don't sell them separately so would have to buy another entire efile. This seems a common fault among all efiles I'm starting to realise as it's happened on another branded efile but that one lasted me over 4 years. Again it's not necessarily the company's fault, just seems this is the weak spot on all handpieces. Just very annoying you cannot buy replacement handpieces. ( I've bought replacement from amazon and it's isn't strong enough and causes major vibrations )
