Works great!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this 2-zone unit and had it installed last month and it has worked great. I have a large unit for my main space and a small unit in my master bedroom. I love that I can use only one or both and can adjust each one to different temperatures. My installer (who has installed over 500 mini split systems of various brands) said it was easy to install and was a good unit and told me that this system has the capacity to add another inside head if I later wanted to which was a bonus I was not aware of. Both the inside and outside units are very quiet. I don’t even notice it’s on. My only complaint is with the remote. The buttons are way too close, which is silly for all the space on the remote. Twice, I have accidentally changed the mode from cool to heat when trying to hit the up button because it is less than 1/8th of an inch below the mode button. Really, a very stupid design of a remote. It would also be nice if the unit gave you the room temperature, but it does not. I remedied this with two small room thermometers purchased from Amazon, but it would’ve been nice if the unit or remote gave you that information like a typical thermostat does. So far, I have only used the system for cooling. I live in Lake County, Northern, California, which is notoriously hot (several triple digit days each month during the summer). The main unit cools the main part of my house (+|- 800 sf living/dining/office/ kitchen) and a separate unit in my 200 sf bedroom so quickly that I typically turn it off because it gets too cool for me (and it’s set at 80° !). I have found that the main unit even cools the rest of my house if I leave the doors open (3 BR/2BA 1300sf total) although it does take longer and of course the back rooms don’t get as cool as the main space because they are so far from the unit. As mentioned above, I have accidentally turned on the heat a couple of times by accident, and it definitely heated the room before I realized what happened and switched it back to cool mode, but I have not actually used it for colder weather (our winters are cool, with night temperatures dipping just below freezing). If anything changes, I will come back and revise this review. Overall: great unit for the money, but the Remote could use a redesign.

Love my Split System
I put one unit in my bedroom and one in my large family room. All I can say is that the large one in my family room cools or heats up to 3 rooms. I have a large family and at the farthest room was asked if I could change the temp because they were getting cool. Works great. As far as installation, I had to hire an electrician to add 220 to my circuit box and run the line up to the outside unit. For some reason more freon had to be added, so he called a friend of his to come check and charge it. The unit finally worked well.

Good deal
Just finished installing my new heat pump and it works great. That's the good. The directions are very poor. It wasn't really hard to install but a little help would have been nice. All in all it's a really great system. Very quiet and really cold.

Quit working.
I got this unit on May 6/2022 and on 5/1/2024 the outside unit stop working showing code E1. After all the trouble shooting, we found the outside unit is faulty. I called Cooper & Hunter customer support and got no help whatsoever. They don't stand behind their Systems.

Greatest thing since sliced bread. So far anyway
No more in and out with window air conditioners. No more wood splitting or pellets. Still have to see how it does over the winter, but so far it is great. No more noise from window air conditioners. Cannot even hear the fan on the indoor units. Unit cost less than a tank of fuel oil. Even though there is no warranty because I installed it myself, it will be worth while to get a new one after a few years if it doesn’t last. They say it will go 10 years. That will be great if it does. Did get an aftermarket warranty through Amazon. Thanks Amazon!

Beware, manufacturer wont honor warranty!
When my installer took the head unit out of the box, the ½” line had no pressure (these units are pressurized from the factory)… all other lines had pressure. The company is telling me I have to hire my AC guy to take this unit apart and find the leak and send them a video to prove it’s leaking. I started out emailing them. After I told them I didn’t think I should have to tear a brand new unit apart and find the leak they “ghosted” me. I finally had to call them on the phone. Then the rude person on the phone kept talking over me and insisted I have to send the video to get the warranty. I do not believe that is right. I will be purchasing a different brand for the other four units I need.

Great customer service
Had an issue with the warranty registration and called their phone number listed on the website. Got right through to a guy who helped me out in 5 minutes flat and got the warranty straightened out. The units work great, one thing to note: If you're trying to figure out how to get the temperature for heating to go below 62 you have to put it in Freeze Prevention mode (FP) but hitting the temp down on the remote twice quick when it's at 62. Took me ages to find that one, it's in a garage and we only need to keep it above freezing during the winter. Can't say how efficient it is, haven't gotten the first electric bill since install.
