I bought several, because after this past year I thought people really needed a laugh and thought this just might provide that! From all reports it was money well spent because universally, after a few moments of "What IS this???" consternation, the mental lightbulb came on and it led to great laughs and was the most talked- and laughed-about (and played with) gift the recipients received this Christmas... and that was before kids and grandkids ever got involved, and it started all over again!

This is the most amazing device I have ever purchased. It trully lives up to its name: it is useless. You flip the switch to turn it on, and it turns itself off. That's all it does. Yet I kept finding myself flipping the switch all weekend, and each time it became more amusing.The true purpose of this device is pure, child-like amusement. I laughed at this thing. Then I giggled. And I kept giggling. A grown man giggling at such a simple device. If anything will remind you of your carefree youth, this box will do it.Whoever invented this deserves a Nobel Prize.

I got the box. Fast...real fast. Which is nice because i needed something to do. So i open the package box. Nicely packaged btw. And wha la a box. No writing on it, which is how i wanted it. Just a plain wood box with a very clicky switch. The box was slightly crooked but that was no big deal to me as i am a badass at fixing thing the way I want. So i took the hardware off and adjusted slightly and boom everything aligned perfect. What a great little gadget. It works, opens fine, the plastic finger mold clicks the switch perfect. Aaand the little plastic mold that switches the switch is small enough to fit all kinds of things on it. I think i will rotate items for holidays like an elf head for christmad or for halloween a scary hand, or for the other days of the year a middle finger hand. Very good product guys. Everything is sturdy and wired nice and clean.

This "useless box" has a switch on top. If you turn it on, it opens up, a "hand" comes out, and it turns itself off.You might find yourself repeatedly flipping the switch to watch it turn off.I once made a toy like this myself. This one is better, as no assembly was required.Great value for the money.

This is the ideal gift for your favorite guy or girl. It is so unique. I added the included rubber finger to the mechanism. It just added the special something, putting a grin on my face.Don't let the finger get to you. I had to cut it down and glue it to the mechanism, before it worked properly. Once I fixed the finger it works great. Have fun with it.

Bought as a gift for my father-in-law. My box arrived with the switch mechanism functional, but it was missing the rubber finger you’re supposed to put on the end. Not only was it much less funny this way, but the acrylic arm wasn’t quite long enough to push the switch all the way, so it would just get stuck in the open position until you flicked the switch yourself. Useless, yes, but not very entertaining.First I tried to mold my own finger out of clay, but let’s just say it, um, didn’t look like a finger. In the end, I took the cap off a USB flash drive, printed up a sticker that said “NO!” in bold white letters on a red background, stuck it to the cap and glued it on the end of the acrylic arm. This extended the arm just enough so that it successfully pushed the switch all the way, and was still kind of funny (though a finger would have been funnier).Based on the reviews, there’s no quality control on these so you’re taking a gamble in buying it, but if you get one of the good ones it makes a great gag gift.

The most useless thing I have ever purchased. But I love it. Christmas gift for kids just getting started figuring how things work.Very good construction except. Nut was lose on switch. (No big deal)Rubber thumb that can go on lever is worthless! It gets jammed in the lid and wont flip switch. When cut to fit it falls off and gets jammed in lid leave off and the device works fine.

I received this today, with the intention of giving it as a gift. Opening it (which was packaged well, in Styrofoam) I have no washer around my metal switch. The hole in the top where the switch pokes through looks like it was made by a child with a pair of dull scissors.In addition all the mechanics inside are just free floating around. Overall this item is missing the washers on either side of the switch and the nut to secure the switch mechanism to the case. Very poorly made and does not match the images shown by the seller.For an item labelled as premium, and the price tag it carries compared to similar products from other sellers I am very disappointed, and feel cheated. DO NOT recommend.
