Have the right expectations and this is a good deal
I have gone back and forth on electric razors for years between wanting one and backing off because of some review I saw. I like how close a regular razor works, and would even do a straight blade if I had the patience or the time, but when I saw this and how cheap it was, figured it was worth a try and I have been pleasantly surprised.A lot of the reviews out there are not setting the proper expectations for this product. It is a TRAVEL electric razor, not some high dollar 7 or 9 series Braun (at the time of writing this, they are pretty universally considered the industries best/standard). What can you expect when people compare a $17 razor to a $200+ razor? So with the right expectations, here are some things to note that I like and don't like (and a few comments):1) It runs on AA batteries. Nothing worse than going on a trip and thinking "nah, I can avoid bringing the charging cable" only to have the built in battery die on you 3 days into the your 7 day trip. With this, pop into the hotel gift shop and grab a set of AA's and you're back in business.2) This is an electric razor....DO NOT press it hard into your skin! Not only will you wear out the blades and guard, but you risk the razor cutting you. You glide it over your skin so the hairs can go in the guard and be cut by the blade.3) The built in rotating cover and brush are handy so everything is in one unit while traveling.4) For $17 (price when I bought it), while traveling if I need to cut weight for my bag or it breaks or it gets lost or forgotten, its not the end of the world. Yeah, it is annoying but I'm not going to let $17 affect my mood or ruin a trip. Taking my family to McDonald's for dinner costs more than that! Skip a meal or 2 like that and eat at your hotel/home and you can buy a replacement with the savings.5) Don't expect this to be high dollar quality. It will last you awhile but if you use it daily for 6 months or more, you got your value out of it and go buy another one. The replacement blades and cleaning cartridges for the high end Brauns will cost you upwards of $60 a year or more on top of the $200 price tag of the unit...You could get 3 of these travel models for the cost of the maintenance of the 7 series in 12-18 months. And if one of these lasts you 6+ months...3 will last you 18+ months so you just saved yourself the $200 initiation fee to be in the 7 series club and still have an OK shave.6) It does an OK job for a shave but you can't have a lot of growth so it is a daily use kind of a razor. If I miss a day, its easier to get back to the electric razor routine after using shaving cream and a manual razor for a day.My expectations were accurate for traveling and the convenience of being able to shave while I am going about my business with kids, work, etc which helps me get a few minutes more of sleep at night on those rough days. Not for a daily use product expecting an excellent smooth shave. If that's what you want, my bet is an electric razor is not for you. Remember to have the right expectations for the product and this turns out to be a good deal.

Works well and is inexpensive
Inexpensive and works well. It replaces another (the more expensive model) that I have had for about 15 years and works as well as the old one except it does not have the trimmer. I will likely be long gone before this one wears out.

Feels better built than the price.
This is the closest shave I’ve gotten with an electric razor, it feels comparable to a single blade safety razor. I got it for less than $20 but it feels to be of better build quality than more expensive razors I’ve owned in the past.Be warned this doesn’t do well against longer stubble, so your first use it’ll need some assistance.Overall though I am impressed with the closeness of shave. If it could hack away at the longer stubble than it would get a 5 star review.*I got the M-60 model, the M-90 I believe has an attachment for longer hair.

Lasts!
If you're after a pocket-friendly grooming tool that doesn't skimp on quality, the Braun M60b delivers. This compact shaver is powered by AA batteries and designed for on-the-go convenience, making it great for travel, quick touch-ups, or keeping in a gym bag or glove compartment. The smart foil technology adjusts to the contours of your face, offering a surprisingly close shave for such a small device. The twist cap doubles as a safety lock and cover, keeping the foil protected when not in use. Cleanup is simple—it’s fully washable under running water, which makes post-shave maintenance quick and hygienic. While it’s not meant to replace a full-size electric razor for daily use, it excels in portability and ease of use. If you value simplicity, reliability, and travel-readiness, this little shaver earns its place in your routine.

Doesn't work at all
I was really excited to get this shaver, as I've bought Braun products in the past and they were of top quality. Well unfortunately, this shaver completely failed. It literally does nothing when I try to shave. It functions fine in that it turns on, works in water, etc but the actual shaving--nothing. It's basically a toy you'd give a little boy so he can pretend he's shaving with his Dad. I'm really disappointed in Braun for making such a bad product.

Braun Travel Razor
This past summer I had to replace my main electric razor. I had used a Panasonic Arc 5 wet/dry razor. I decided to try the Braun 9 Sport which allow wet or dry shaving. I found the Braun to be a more comfortable and closer shave. I also used the Panasonic battery operated travel razor when traveling. I experienced razor burn and the shave was not close with the Panasonic travel razor. I decided to try the Braun M60 travel razor given the quality of shave I was getting with the Braun 9 Sport. The Braun M60 is battery operated and small compared to the size of the Braun 9 Sport. The cost was also a factor. I was surprised to learn how well the Braun M60 performed. I like to shave with lather and found this little razor to provide a comfortable shave without razor burn. Yes, it does take a little longer to shave with a battery operated razor but I believe I have found a very good travel razor.
