You have to really want to play this.
This thing is small. It is fun to learn. I've been playing it for a couple of months now. You have to be dedicated to it if you have normal sized fingers. I love it -- no doubt. But if you don't want a challenge, maybe stick to saprano. The great thing is it is pocket sized. And it's a real recorder. I've put about 20 hours in and I'm just now getting comfortable with the tight hole spacing. It is for the serious musician. Practice makes perfect. PW

A Good *LITTLE* Instrument
This instrument has a good tone for a small plastic recorder. It has a very LOUD sound, perfect for outdoor playing or indoor concert halls but it may disturb your neighbors 😱It is not for everyone because the tone holes are so close together though…Be advised that the range of this instrument is limited - you cannot play above the high A.

It’s limited, but I still love it.
The Woodi Garklein is a nice little recorder. It sounds really sweet and I’m glad I bought it, especially for the price.Having said that, I also want to buy the Aulos garklein even though it’s more than twice the price of this one, for the sole reason that the Woodi doesn’t have as much range as other garkleins (The Woodi’s range is C6-A7, while the Aulos has a much higher range of C6-D8.This little dude is worth it though. I recommend getting both!
