great value, ink works well
i have just started to replace my cartridges, had to install the photo ink the other day. working great so far, and i love the price. less than getting ink cartridges refilled, a great value.Update as of 4/9/2018 -- I have been using these cartridges for about a year now for my hp7525. I have tried a couple of other non-hp inks that gave nothing but trouble from the start. these have been no trouble at all. This set of 5 inks includes the photo black, some of the other brands don't include that. I feel free to print all the photos I want, something I had stopped doing because of the price of hp inks for the 7525. The OSIR cartridges are great, and the price is outstanding. Definitely a reorder item for me, I won't be trying any more of the other brands.update mar 2022. i only stopped using these cartridges because the doggone printer quit on me.Update Sept. 3 2019 - just got most recent order, according to amazon it is my 4th time. i've been using these cartridges for more than 2 years now, i'm getting at least 6 months worth of printing from one set of inks. i print quite a bit, add lots of color photos to my recipes. this ink is costing me less than $25 a year! I wish i could get this brand for the hp printer i am using.update mar. 2022 - my printer crapped out in 2021. so for the 4 years that i used osir inks, i had absolutely no problems at all. i bought a new hp printer, regrettably, but i don't find osir inks for the model i bought. one reason i am sorry about this new printer, with its smart ink or whatever that wants to reorder ink when needed from hp. if i were to buy another hp printer, which i don't think will happen, i would check first to see if osir sells ink for the new model.

Good quality Ink, Worked without any major issues
First, a little history. I worked in IT for years. Most people in IT know and understand the scheme that is selling printers. Almost always, they sell you a printer at a loss, betting on selling you ink at typically a 2000% (not a typo) mark up for as long as you own it. This is 2018. Ink really isn't that expensive. Then, companies like HP go out of their way to make cartridges and printers in a way that prevents refilling. They even like to give you a "black ink" only option in the settings, while using up colored ink anyway. They tell you its for "deeper blacks". So, let me get this straight.... I get deeper BLACKS by using inks that are not in fact black? hhhhmmmmm.....But, I digress. I have tried other less expensive options in the past and I have always been disappointment in the quality of the color when I printed photos. I am happy to say, that was NOT the case with these cartridges. The colors just just as good as my HP inks at a fraction of the cost.I had only one single issue with one cartridge. After printing with it for a week or so, HP told me the cartridge had no ink. So... I pulled it out. Thankfully these are semi-see through. I could see it was obviously still about 85% full. So, I took a swap and cleaned off the port where the ink exists. I re-inserted and it worked again. No problems since. Now, whether that was the HP printer being difficult, or a genuine clog in the port, I can't say. What I can say is, I was happy enough with my first set of these to buy a second.

Very cost effective.
First off, the price of this five-pack is excellent. I've purchased them before and they have worked very well. They are packaged individually and in this case one of the cartridges was apparently poorly packaged (the black one). It did not have any internal labeling and had leaked all over the inside of the clear factory-sealed package. Having said that, it is still an excellent deal and I kept the 4 good ones and simply ordered a replacement pair of black cartridges. Couldn't in good conscience give it 5-star rating but would have given it a 4 1/2 if that was possible.

Better Quality at a Fraction of the Cost of the HP Cartridges, and they work in our HP Photosmart 7515 Printer
For years it felt like we were hostage to the HP cartridges for our HP Photosmart 7515 home printer. The HP set of 5 cartridges have an exorbitant high price of $65.00 to $70.00 (including tax). If they would last close to a year it would have been almost reasonable. However and especially since our son was in school and had to copy each paper and report in duplicate, along with our own copied paperwork, they did not even last 3 months before the ‘black’ ink always ran out.Furthermore, sometimes our printer did not recognize the HP cartridges. An error came up stating the cartridges were counterfeit, and our printer refused to accept them. Sometimes the store would let us exchange them, but sometimes not, even if we had the receipt to show them. This became an expensive hassle, and although we liked the printer, the hassle for the cartridges was not worth our time or the expense, and we even considered ‘dumping’ this printer and getting another brand. Our other difficulties with the HP cartridges included the following issues.1. Sometimes the HP cartridges were all dry right from the new package.2. Occasionally when first inserted into the printer, we needed to run the paper through a four or five times to get the ink going, as the first few times the printer ink came out faded and too light on the copy.3. Alternatively, we also had the opposite problem, and instead the first few copies were wet with large portions of blurry ink smears.4. Therefore the quality of the HP cartridge ink was inconsistent, and often causing wasted paper or wasted ink. However, the Osir cartridges have changed our perspective, and we love our printer again because we no longer have the ink cartridge issues. The Osir cartridges work better in our printer than the original expensive HP cassettes. They are less expensive and last just as long or longer, for the same amount of copies that we require on a regular basis. In addition, the Osir ink cartridges are simpler to open, and therefore I never get ink on my fingers when I insert them our printer. I like the clear acrylic casing which allows us to view the ink in each separate casing after a month or two or when we have to make a huge amount of copies. Since we cannot view the ink in the HP cartridges, on occasion we had run out of ink during a huge copying job. This is a frustrating situation when we discovered that the copier ran out of ink and we were only half way finished with the printing. When we insert an Osir ink cartridge in our HP printer, it sends a message that they are not the official HP cartridges. After we click on the ‘okay’ at the end of the message, the printer instantly accepts these cartridges. The Osir cartridges have a transparent and clear view casing as opposed to the HP ink containers, and therefore we can check the amount of remaining ink and replace the same cartridge back in the printer without it leaking. Our copies are as good as the original documents and the black ink is dark and easy to read, and all the other colors are bright. When our printer dispenses the copies the ink is already dry on the paper. We do not have to wait for the ink to dry, as opposed to the ink of the HP cartridges, which would leave the still wet ink on our fingers. The ink cartridges from HP cost approximately 5 times more and the ink quality was not consistent. Whereas we have never experienced any issues with the Osir cartridges, they have proved more reliable and the ink quality is much better.
