Complete Serpentine Belt Drive Component Kit

Just leave the oem tensioner and pully alone unless you're having issues. The pully is made in Canada and the tensioner is made in china the belt is made in mexico. Just a heads up. Also the tensioner pully had play right out of the box and had rough edges like it was sanded with a 40 grit sanding belt.. the belt was the only thing with the gates brand on it. And also in my case at least the orignal tensioner and idler had no play when i had the belt off at 122k miles so i left them alone and set these to the side for emergency use only. Point being save your money and just get the belt and if you absolutely must change the idler and tensioner go with oem parts. Otherwise this kits just a bit of a waste. Not saying toyota parts are indestructible but ive seen plenty of original toyota parts go 250k plus without problems.

The tensioner body/ bracket had very unrefined machining marks. I am happy with the kit overall, but I question the quality of the other parts when one of the parts looks like it was made by a 7 year old. My only hope is that the bearings last more than a few years.

I use Gates products for industrial, commercial, and automotive applications. The belt and idler pulley were up to top-quality standards, as expected. However, the tensioner was definitely a lower quality product. The new bearing in the tensioner pulley had more radial/axial play than the 10 year old Dayco product that I removed from the Toyota Tundra. I'm disappointed. I will need to keep an eye on this Gates tensioner so it does not prematurely fail.

Great kit. Everything you need for this task. I will definitely buy these kits for my other vehicles. The tray is a really nice addition for your tools and bolts. The instructions are informative and helpful. Would absolutely recommend this kit for anyone doing a belt change on their own.

Unfortunately after 14 months and about 12k miles the tensioner is giving way. The bearing must be defected. Very noisy. I will be replacing with factory Dayco part
