The first bulb was dimmer than the other, although both were claimed to be 150 watt.The 150 watt bulb burned out in about a month. Since finger oil can cause problems with Halogens, I did not directly touch it while installing. Instead, I used the foam wrapping from the packaging.I'm not an expert on halogen bulbs -- I only have them because of two ceiling fans -- but it looks as if the bulb exploded on the inside. The interior of the glass is black; there's a heat bubble; the filaments exploded into several fragments; and there's soot.

Bulbs don't last advertised life. Guess you get what you pay for. Wish I could have given a better rating.

This bulb worked out fine so far.

When I turn on the light, light comes out of the bulb (or it sucks up the dark). It's amazing!
