I am so happy with this mailbox. II is sturdy and huge! I installed on aluminum siding and it looks great. I removed the locking mechanism - the instructions were clear, and the lock can easily be added back if I want it in the future. I was hesitant to spend this much on a mailbox, but it was well worth it!

Excellent material and very well- made. Love the large capacity so a week’s worth of mail can fit. The locking mechanism is very durable and looks great with my farmhouse siding on my house. Very easy to install. You will love and will not be disappointed!

Absolutely the mailbox I have always wanted. It's beautiful, sturdy, and super easy to install. I didn't purchase the house numbers, as I plan to make my own, making my Whitehall Mailbox one of a kind.The only issue I had with the box was trying to secure the small bolts and plastic washers once I removed the lock tray. But was able to re-secure them with a little help from a friend.

One star because it can't be returned at an Amazon drop off. It is a lovely mailbox but it is huge. Be aware of the return policy. Customer pays for the reurn and it is very expensive in shipping. :-(

I have looked everywhere for a wall mount mailbox that is nicer than the ones you can find in big box home improvement stores. This one was the nicest one I found. It is heavy (I think it weighs like 10 lbs), and I feel like it will last a long time. It was very easy to install (we installed it on a brick wall, but it definitely be easier to install on wood). We took the locking mechanism out, because we really didn’t need it and it was easier to access the mail without it. It was very simple to remove. The only negative is that because the front is a bit textured, it was difficult to get our house numbers to stick to it. I had to do some DIY finagling for that to work. Overall, we are very happy with it.

I did not use the lock, so I will not comment on that. The template for drilling holes did not line up. It's on the back of the instruction sheet. I should've checked it against the mailbox before I drilled the holes in my Stucco house. I decided to enlarge the slots on the mailbox backing and use large stainless steel fender washers to compensate for the misalignment issue. I also bought house numbers from a home improvement store for less than $5 each including stainless steel screws and nuts to mount them. Some reviewers had complaints about crooked numbers if you bought the branded plate from Whitehall.
