We have 22 zones in our irrigation system and I had no idea where 12 of the valves were located. This product is awesome and I was able to find all 12 of the lost valves very quickly. The most time consuming part was walking back and forth to the control panel. In my experience, the sound coming from the valve box was very noticeable even if the valve boxes were full of dirt and/or covered with dirt and grass. When I located about where the sound was coming from, I used a screw driver to gently poke into the grass to find the top of the valve box. I highly recommend this product! Worth every penny!

Not loud enough to be useful to me. Valve solenoid will make same clicking sound if activated without this device although intermittently not continuously. Return was handled promptly without any issues.

Worked really well to make our valves chatter. One thing I did notice is that the chatter got louder after approx 3 mins making it MUCH easier to locate our valves. They were buried under approx 4” of soil and inside a valve box.

Bought this device after realizing that I couldn’t locate one of the valves for our irrigation system. There were no drawings and the system had been in place for many years prior to owning the house.The valve was buried deep enough that I couldn’t hear it but when I put on my electronic hearing protection I was able to just make out the ‘hum’. Then I got on my hands and keens and actually felt the vibration from the solenoid. 4 minutes later had the valve housing uncovered and marked on my homemade map.Definitely worth the price and if I have any friends or family in the same situation, I can lend it to them.

Product worked exactly as described, just wished the solenoids clicking noise was louder. Was about to find four out of six solenoids. Live in a noisy neighborhood, will find the remaining two later….

was not impressed with this product. It is supposed to make the valve chatter in a sprinkler system to help you locate the valve. My valves are buried about 12 to 14 inches underground. The instructions say things have to be very quiet outside in order to hear the chatter. Don't fool yourself. I went to The Sprinkler Whse here in Houston where the rent a professional tool designed for this. Do not buy just rent. This is the only way to go. This tool has a wand that picks up the electrical wire from your controller to the valve and you can trace it rather easily. Trust me you have to use what the pros use or you will never find those valves. Found all 11 of my valves in a matter of hours. This chatterbox will not help you only delay you

Used this to locate irrigation valves that I had no ideal were they were,it is a rainbird system.it was hard to hear them at first so I did use a 1 ft pvc pipe to place on the ground to help with sound detection.some valves were more noisy than other so if you do not find your first one just move on to other.Took about 1 hour to locate 7 valvesThank.

Product did not work with my system, however seller was very helpful and sent an upgraded product to try.
