Simple wisdom to help live a better life - a worthwhile investment in oneself
5 Simple Questions to Reclaim Your Happiness, by Jacqui Letran, is a short read containing simple wisdom to help lead a happier life. The approach provided in this book is anchored in the Universal law of positive thinking and the other law, not as well known, that what you put your attention on becomes bigger, or in other words, when you focus on negative feelings and thoughts, you empower them and you depower yourself and you steal from your happiness. This book is an easy to read manual, which can be handed to anyone from young teen and up. Even if one lacked the discipline to do everything suggested in this book, and only adopted some of its wisdom, it would be impossible not to feel better about oneself, about life and about the prospects of an even brighter future. It's a worthwhile investment in oneself.

Powerful message to empower young women early in life
I’ve been reading personal development books for years and have found my life so much more in my control as a result. Many times I’ve wished I had learned these things at a younger age, and so I want to share these lessons with my kids. What’s been missing is the way to translate these amazing things I’m learning to messages my kids are interested in, or can even hear above all the other things that feel so much more important as teens. This book laid out these very important lessons (of how we have the power to create our reality with our thoughts) in very accessible language and relatable stories for a message that I know my kids are able to take in, and not only that (because we can’t always make our teens read what we want them to read) it also gave me language I could use that felt more relatable to use with my teens. I think this book is the perfect fit for the piece that is missing in the personal development world. I’m sure we all wish we could have learned these empowering lessons sooner in life, and Jacqui has provided just the book to help us help our young adults to get a head start on feeling in control of their lives.

A very useful tool for dealing with your own emotions
This book was very easy to read and understand, which makes it a very useful tool. The main purpose of this book is to help the reader come to terms with their own thoughts and emotions and the five step process (outlined and shown through case histories in great detail) is easy to learn and adapt to.I found this book very helpful and will continue to use the five step method for a good while. It's not a quick-fix solution to letting go of negative emotions and gaining more happiness, but it does work and you'll begin to see results immediately.Much praise to the author!

5 Simple Steps to Gain Clarity That Can Help Any Reader, At Any Age
This book is written to help parents and teens bridge the communication gap. The warm, conversational tone is easy to read and will appeal to both parents and young readers because there is no judgment being made - no one is 'right' or 'wrong' -- simply 5 steps to help you understand your emotions, why communication has broken down and how to get out of this adversarial corner you find yourself in after a no-win parent/teen confrontation. While aimed at teens - and mainly at mothers and daughters, I think this book is useful with preteens - perhaps reading the book with a parent or teacher and discussing the 5 steps. As a former teacher, I would recommend this book to parents - and kids - because it teaches life skills in understanding and getting along with people. And as an author of self-help books for women, i know I am going to be referencing this book and Ms. Letran's smart, simple way to help anyone step back, take a breath, and gain some clarity on what they're feeling and what they want - and need - to say, and why. An excellent book, recommended to anyone who wants better conversations - and happier outcomes!

my mother has read a lot of books like this, but I haven't
I have to say, for someone who gave her mother hell as a teenager and has been in therapy 12 years, my mother has read a lot of books like this, but I haven't. Several of my therapists have given me homework, but never any reading assignments, even though I always bring a book to read in the waiting room and sometimes, we talk about books. I've never actually read a book like this before, even though I sent my mother screaming to the book store for one more times than she would care to discuss in polite companyThis book is meant to be a simple, 5 steps for better relationships and happiness. The steps are simple and I could see how this could be helpful for some who like these kinds of books, so I rated it at 4 stars because I could see how this book helping people. My personal preference is still to drive to my therapists office and just talk everything out in the allotted time provided

an exceptional self-help book
I know firsthand that Jacqui’s first book can help teens. Now, having read her second book, I believe it can help teens and adults on the path to reclaiming their happiness. The book is really 5 simple questions for each one of us to explore as we deal with negative emotions. Jacqui presents a variety of case studies to illustrate for her readers how detrimental emotions can wreck your life. I am not a fan of "self-help" books, but Jacqui's are the exception. They are not long, but they are powerful if you choose to put her message to work in your life.

Definitely a good and easy read
The book has a good vibe around it. It has gotten me thinking about my own inner world and teen years. In particular how little we know at that age.I have this feeling we will be hearing a lot more from the author, Jacqui Letran. She’s on a mission and she won’t stop. Love it. Definitely a good and easy read.

Feels
Oh wow this hit close to me alot I can resonate with from when I was a teenager. Even more so as a mum to a teenage boy already and three more 2 girls and another boy to hit teenage years. What shocked me most though was how clearly I can identify to it as a mum of these children who has similar reactions with my mood.

A fantastic read for all age groups
Award winning author Jacqui Letran breaks down emotional chaos into easily manageable chunks. By encouraging thoughts about how you feel and why, letting go of emotions, seeing another person’s point of view and choosing happiness. Letran shows the reader how using her 5 simple questions can reclaim your happiness. A fantastic read for all age groups. I really liked the use of examples and the planning sections.
