Search the Ocean, Find the Animals

Pro: this is an unbranded (no Disney Nick or any cartoon) I spy book with great information on different ocean facts. Some of the items are hard to find and some super easy so allows for different ages! I love this brand and this book. It is very hard to find I spy books not tied to a tvshow. Paper back makes great for travel.

This book is fun and educational. My daughter loves it. She takes it in the car all the time. It goes to school with her for reading time and during gym (she’s paralyzed and can’t participate 50% of the time). It comes to doctor appointment and other “boring” activities. She’s read it cover to cover and found everything more than once. She is getting another one in this series for her bday.

This book is so awesome! The illustrations are great, and some of the creatures are hidden just hard enough to have my 4yo challenged. It’s written at a good level of engagement for young kids.

This great little book has a thick paperback cover with glossy illustrations. The binding is sound, and the pages are standard weight. The text chosen is easy to read and sized to make it easy to see without feeling like they were trying to fill space. The illustrations are detailed and give the reader a lot to see on each page. They were drawn with care to make them not look scary, even the sharks have a little bit of a smile as if they are trying to be friendly.The book is written in a way to be accessible to a wide range of readers. My 1st grade daughter who reads above grade level was able to read it while my 1st grade son who is working at a 1st grade level found it more challenging. Their 10 and 13 year old siblings enjoyed reading it on their own as well as helping them work their way through the book. The book covers different places in the ocean -- tidepools, the ocean floor, deep sea, seagrass meadows, etc. Each section teaches about the sea, and has the reader look for animals in the illustrations. Each animal is given a little explanation, and each page has a fun fact explored. There is a wide range of creatures, from common that most readers know, to lesser known animals. The back of the book has an answer key for where the animals are hidden, I found this a silly inclusion and a glossary.Since my son is still trying to conquer title, illustrator and author, I appreciated the pages telling about the author and illustrator. It allowed me to revisit some of the lessons he's learning in school.

This was used for plane ride on way to islands and my children loved it. There were facts to read on every page and pictures to find that were not too complicated for my young children so gave them a sense of success (ages 2 and 4).

We have this book and the zoo one and I’ve literally bought multiple so we can redo them. My almost 4 year old son loves them and they’re such a fun activity for us to do together. I love that we are not only searching for each animal, but learning about them and their environment. Love these!

Kids love this book! It is really educational and interesting. They learn so much about the ocean and sea life, all the while having fun trying to spot the creature!

It was for a little older child than I purchased it for. But they still enjoyed it. I would say get this book if your child is at least 7 years old
