Little on the spicy side
Every mixture of garam masala is different (or so I am told). This one is little on the spicy side for my preference. However, it is a great value in terms of cost per ounce. It's a fraction of the cost of retail store versions. I suggest trying it and see if you like it. If not, try another one.

this mixture contains a good bit of cloves
I's Okay. I would probably buy Cumin or Turmeric from this brand. But, this mixture contains a good bit of cloves. I am not a big fan of the taste of cloves. Cloves is a very overpowering spice. You need to use it gently, or it masques all the other spices. I should have done my homework & found a recipe online for making my own Garam Masala. Then, I could greatly reduce the proportion of Cloves, to bring out the other spices. Lesson learned.
