Holds the phone alright and thats a Samsung Note5. Made of cheap plastic but seemed to get the job done alright. The only issue (like so many things these days) is the durability. Im just over a year out and this is whats happening now (see photo). Mind you, this is after two summers but we are talking central ohio and not phoenix. Just something to think about but Im not sure anyone else will have a better quality for the price. I guess Id have to shop around.

Mount sticks to center console with no slippage, yet is easy to move if I need. Phone locks in mount by just pushing phone lightly against back of mount, has a firm grip, have not had my phone slip out of the mount once. Good design

I purchased this and thought that I would use it for my cell phone, but when I placed my cell phone in it it would turn my phone off. Although I am not using it for my cellphone I have found another use for it in my car. I actually use it to hold my GPS. My GPS fits perfectly in the universal mount. I like that I am able to adjust it according to who is driving the car (I am on the short side, whereas my sister is 6ft tall). We used this on our drive to Delaware over this past weekend and we absolutely had no issues with it. On the occasion surprise bump on the road it had to be readjusted, but all in all it is a good product. I wish I could use it with my phone, but the GPS works just as good. I received a discount on this product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Been looking for a good mount for awhile now. So far this one is working perfectly. Bounces a bit while driving but it is negligible. Good purchase.

This is a handy phone mount to have around.I have added some pictures to show what it looks like, from packaging to being mounted in my truck. I used two different phones. One of my phones is about as large as phones come. It's a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, with the largest battery you can buy for them. The second phone shown is a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active.The materials used to construct this mount are mostly standard plastics that are used in most of these. It has a clear rubber suction cup that mounts the windshield, or smooth place on your dash if you choose to mount it that way. The suction cup also has a sticky substance on it to help secure it tightly to the it's mounting surface. I thought this might be a problem, but after mounting it I was pleased with how it held the Note 4 in place. Another great feature it has is the extension arm. It is adjustable so you can pull the phone closer to your eyes from the windshield. With the extreme angles of windshields today, it's a awesome feature to have!There are two sliding buttons on the sides to open the sliders, and they lock in place. When you place your phone in the mount, a different button is depressed to lock the sliders in place, providing a firm hold for your phone. My Samsung S6 held tightly in place! The Note 4 held well, too... but the added weight of that phone caused some additional "bounciness" when driving down the road. It held fine, it just bounced around more than I would have liked. (Again, keep in mind, I added the largest battery you can have on that particular phone, so if it were just a standard Note 4 with a big case... the phone mount would hold up, just fine).Visibility can be hindered if you don't mount it right. I mounted mine with that in mind, and it's fine.I used the mount to video my entire trip home the other day (about an hour drive). It did fantastic with the Samsung S6. It was as sturdy as a GoPro mount, if you can relate to that. I was able to make out license plate numbers on the road, as well as street signs.Even though I purchased this unit at a discount for my honest opinion, I'm going to keep it mounted in my truck. I like it that much!

So, a few months back I tried an offer with a magnetic phone mount- a fail for my iPhone 6s+. This particular mount held the fort down once we got stable. The first run with the mount, I don't know if I hadn't dried the dash thoroughly or what exactly but it was going fine then fell over while I was driving and the GPS was giving me directions where I had never been. Thankfully my husband was the passenger and grabbed it and got my phone so I could continue to hear directions. So once we were at our destination, I wiped my dash again, let it dry and left mount off until we returned to vehicle. I came back a bit before we were to head back home to reapply the mount and I carefully made sure no air bubbles were left inside of the dash was wet or damp. It's been a week now and no falling. So I believe the original issue was somehow on my end but I'm giving an honest review so I must mention all occurrences between the product and I during our current relationship.The mount has great positioning settings, will elevate to a high distance where if you wanted a child to see your phone screen for a show you could do that from your dash, also in a taller vehicle like a transfer truck it could be useful, I have it on a lower standard setting so it's not blocking my view and I'm not sited by our local and state laws. We cannot even have any air freshener or anything hanging here in the window from rear mirror.It's a great, high quality product and very durable and sturdy! The fall from my dash didn't phase it a bit so I am confident it'll be a lasting product for me. After getting a ticket several months back for $397 because I picked up my phone to see why signal was fading and losing GPS signal at a red light, I think this will be a saver too with those risks as the phone will stay in the same position.
