Sync went swimmingly ....
My old Honda CX650 was running pretty well, but it tended to bog a bit when rolling on the throttle. I decided a carb synchronization would be worth trying, so I hooked up a set of analog dial-type gauges to the bike. The needles oscillated over what must have been a 45-degree arc, and it was absolutely impossible to get a stable reading. I did the best that I could to match the wild swingings between cylinders, and actually ended up with a bike that not only runs better, but gets 10% better gas mileage. So it was as good as I could make it, but was it as good as it could be? I bit the bullet and ordered the Digi Sync. The tool comes with 5mm and 6mm adapters, and it was a simple matter to install the correct ones (5mm in my case.) I connected and turned on the Digi Sync, let it do its self-calibration (it just takes a few seconds), then fired up the bike. As it happens, both cylinders matched perfectly, so no adjustment was necessary, but it would have been a thousand times easier to have done the initial synchronization with the Digi Sync as compared to the analog meter. The Digi Sync readings were rock-solid, and having the RPM showing is a nice added bonus. So do I think I wasted my money, seeing that the carbs didn't need any further tweaking? Not at all! I can now easily check synchronization if I'm ever in doubt in just a matter of minutes, and if I ever get the CBX of my dreams ... well, I got the six-channel version of the Digi Sync, so I'm prepared.

Amazing Product!
I bought a 97 Honda Valkyrie last year and while it's ran great, there's always been a small miss and a scent of gas that's stronger than I felt it should have been.Learned about how a carb could be out of "sync" and that one or more of the cylinders could be running lean.Did some research and everything I'm seeing about the process is, for me, nightmare fuel. Gauges that need calibration and tubes of liquid?Called 2 local Honda dealers to me and asked if they could sync the carbs. One of them only had a setup for 4 cylinders and the other was so wildly doom and gloom about the entire process and made it sound wildly expensive.Found out about the Digisync through a Valkyrie forum. Reviews were high and I did as much research as I could online and youtube on the step by step process for syncing as there were some videos, but they kind of brushed over some details I didn't understand and another videos was incredibly detailed and educational, but was for bench syncing. My Clymer's manual was zero help as well.Ultimately, what I learned was that all the carbs run off of one main/consistent carb. Which is the carb that you can adjust the idle on.So, hook up the machine, use the idle knob to set RPM where they should be, then match the other carbs to that one using the adjustment screws. This machine made that process shockingly simple. Once you figure out which tubes need to be pulled AND which carb is taking in the gas from the tank (and needs to be done last), it really was just a process of unhooking and rehooking lines.I was stunned to find that the tach on my bike was wrong. I'd set it to roughly 900 rpm according to the tach. Well, the Digisync showed me that I was over 1000 rpms.I dialed the rpms down to about 940 and was stunned to see that the 4 other carbs were almost perfectly in sync. I was actually disappointed. Then I disconnected the gas line from the last carb, hooked up the last hose from the digisync and started it again.BAM! My problem carb! I had to work quick as the bike is running only on the gas left in the carbs, but I was able to adjust that carb and get it to match the others.Turned off the bike, unplugged the Digisync hoses and plugged everything back in.The small miss on my bike is now gone and the smell of gas is reduced by a not insignificant amount.I'm wildly pleased with this product and will sing its praises to anyone with carb motors!!!!Thanks for an amazing product (that even included the 9V battery!) at a fraction of the price I'd have to have forked over to a shop that probably had no chance of being as accurate as the Digisync!

Could have been 5 stars
This worked great to balance a VFR750f. Unfortunately, I had to re-thread the included fittings as they were way out of spec and would not fit the ports.

Easy Sync.
Makes tuning carburetors much easier and faster !

Bmw r1100s
It does exactly what it should. It's insanely accurate and shows the bikes rpms. It's almost to accurate lol, cause when your holding at 3k rpm is kinda well touchy getting steady reading just tiny bit movement of throttle and you got numbers changing instantly. If you want pin point balance this is probably the best on the market.Company...if you ever update this thing it would be alot more user friendly if you added maybe another 2 buttons for changing the menus. Just saying...that was probably only thing I wasn't a fan of.

Better off with something else
Suppose to plug and play... Didn't work

This is worth the money over a cheap alternative
Honestly, this has made carb syncs so much easier. But more than that, I actually TRUST that this is absolutely accurate. I never knew with the vacuum gauges or mercury ones how close they were dialed in, or if my little knobs were screwed in too tight or not tight enough… this is a high quality unit that works perfectly out of the box, no calibration ever needed.Spend the money, get this, and keep it the rest of your life.
