Green plug for 2002/2003-2014 Nissan 3.5L thru 4.0L (engine family) camshaft position connector
Saved me $1800 total not having to replace the whole wiring harness. New wiring harness $500 and labor to install it $1300. The all green connector works with 2005 Nissan Xterra 4.0 passenger side camshaft position sensor (straight plug), will not work on the angled camshaft position sensor on the drivers side. The other connector (black/green) should work on the drivers side. I used the blue Posi-tap connectors (look up on you-tube) that have two twist caps to connect to the old wiring harness and left the old plug laying next to it. This plug should work on any Nissan 3.5L to 4.0L (2002/2003-2014) that uses the two camshaft position sensors (driver/passenger) with this engine series/family, just cross reference the sensor to verify. The plugs for the wire connectors/sensors have different geometry (they look similar) to prevent mixing up the sensors. I had a sensor that worked good when the engine was cold, and when it gets hot... the sensor failed. One aftermarket unit failed after one week, so go with lifetime warranty if you don’t buy OEM.Mo

Stays locked to the sensor!
Tested this for fit on my old sensor and fit perfect. When attempting to remove the sensor though, the gate lock mechanism peice clicks open as it should but the sensor is still locked in place. I tried this right out of the bag so it isn't like I have limited maneuverability to get the sensor off. Pick tool, pliers, anything short of some kind of destruction wont remove it. It is locked on the dead sensor. If you buy this item you better hope the sensor you put on it doesnt go bad or you'll be buying a new pigtail with it. As for me, I just threw my money away since I can not even see if it's even effective.

Good Part Doesnt Fit
The quality of the part is pretty good and other than all the wires being the same color it seems to be a good part to install. The only problem I had is it said it would fit my 06' Nissan Murano and it does not. If you have a Murano dont buy instead look for parts that fit your same year but a Nissan Altima for whatever reason I've had luck with that for several different parts.
