I use the 650 for annealing brass and it is critical that the temperature is correct. this product is well worth the price. the 450 is to insure the temperature does not overheat eh lower half of the brass.

Great product. Easy to use and works well. Would have been a big five star except it was shipped in a ziplock bag package, glass bottle, liquid inside; first order arrived dripping. Return was necessary. Arrived in same type packaging but in good shape the second time.

The media could not be loaded.  I have been annealing my brass at a buddy's house for a few months and we use Tempilaq (specifically TL060) to gauge when the brass is properly annealed. It's very simple: swab a little on the inside of the neck and run it through your annealer. (My video is done with the AGS Annealer.)It doesn't get any simpler than that. This stuff is a must for consistent annealing!

I like that it changes colors when at temperature. Using it to reach the correct temperature when setting up my Ugly Annealer for rifle brass.Sacrificed a couple pieces of old range brass as an experiment. Hint I put a line on the neck and three more places going back to make sure I wasn’t heating my brass to far back on the case!
