Better sound than others we tried
My son was able to pick this up and play almost immediately. Yes, he is a gamer. He loves it and I hear him playing it for hours. I am grateful for the doors as this instrument is LOUD. It warms my heart to hear him play a musical instrument. Well worth the money!

Was a bit nervous about potential quality problems
I was concerned it may end up have airy notes on the higher end, but was only a few cents out of tune. No airy notes on mine. Having fun with it. All in all, not a bad find.

Plays like crap, put of tune by default.
I tried this one as my first. I like the idea of a simple instrument to play. But after much trying a variety of the notes are horribly out of tune and it has nothing to do with the blow pressure. I watched many you tube videos to determine its not actually me. It is a huge disappointment to try something and for it to be this bad. I high discourage people to avoid the fake reviews. After youtube investigations I found ht equality control behind these instruments are crap and that's why some may say its great and others not so much. This was truly a disappointment and If you buy it for yourself or someone you love do some youtube research about which ones have consistency about being a solid instrument because once you hit an off note you are just dumbfounded by how bad it sounds.

Ocarina
This is the second 12 hole Ocarina we have bought for our 14 year old grandson. He really loved his first one and even took it with him on a family vacation to NYC. However, he dropped it and it broke. We just replaced it for his birthday. It was more fragile than was expected, hence I could not give it 5-stars. But, it is certainly his favorite gift. I'm not sure he is learning songs to play but is enjoying creating his own melodies and sounds. Since we aren't with him all the time it doesn't annoy us like it does his 16 year old brother.
