This small light illuminates a large area

I like the compact and clean form factor and adjustable Kelvin light temperature. Even on the lowest dim setting, this thing kicks out plenty of light. I wish there was a lower dim setting. Unfortunately, the accent light is not dimmable or color temperature adjustable. I was hoping the accent light was more like a night light. It's just way too bright and the wrong color for my liking given that it is located above the garage and right near a bedroom window. I was able to disable the accent light by removing the 2 back screws and the 3 screws from the circuit board. The accent light is connected to the circuit board by a harness and you can just unplug it. I thought of taping over the LED accent lights once I had it open to make it more like a night light but opted to just unplug it.

Bought and installed 3 of these, HGX LED 2RH 40K 120 MO WH M2, to replace old Lithonia’s that lasted 8 year- well past 5 yr warranty. The day photo sensor makes power available to the unit at dusk till dawn - perfect, don’t need security lights during daytime. The motion sensor works great; I just set them to MAX sensitivity to illuminate as soon as possible when walking up. (I think the only time you need any other adjustment is if light comes on too much; only then cut back sensitivity.) Light ON time has two choices: 1 min or 5 mins. - we like 5 mins ON time. The sensing zones fits with the illumination zone. The brightness 2700 lumens is better than older model so I’m happy. Color temp is set to 4000 K with this model; which is just right for us. (Soft white is 3000K; daylight is 5000K.) Original review 14Aug22, adding this info 29Aug22, this model is still: HGX LED 2RH 40K 120 MO WH M2, as stated above. When you pick a “style” you get very different models. This model has Lumens of brightness output fixed at 2750 Lumens (see 2nd bullet item under: “About This Item”), and color temp fixed at 4000 K (Kelvin). I included daylight and soft white approx color temps just for reference, this model is not adjustable for Lumens of brightness or color temp. For security lights that sense motion dust to dawn, and come on for a limited time, I find this highly desirable for the reduced failure points by getting rid of adjustable dials, and reducing unnecessary cost. We are very pleased with this security flood light model and purchased a 4th so our house is covered from all directions.

Out of the box, these security lights look to be well made and good quality. They are small and light weight. Also, the light intensity feature is nice though I just went with full brightness, the 2750 lumens is great.However, after installing I waited for dusk to turn on, and when they did the lights were blinking on and off constantly. I realized that what was making them turn on and off was that light from the floodlights was getting into the photocell. I had to temporarily place a piece of wide electrical tape cupped over the photocell but open at one end... this stopped the blinking and allowed the morning daylight to turn the light off.The next day I got back up my ladder and adjusted the Daylight Sensor Dial and reduced the amount of light entering the photo sensor... the blinking went away. I'm a happy camper now.

I have replaced all of our exterior double headed flood lights with these lights. The profile is much smaller and less noticeable. The lighting is superb with a 3000 degree K color level that brings a "daylight" feel to nighttime lighting. The housing is well made and has several features to increase the degree of resistance to water infiltration. Overall, I am very pleased with the lights.
