Edit: 6/10/22- I upgraded my review to 5 stars from 4. Turns out that slight smell was from the plastic bag they were in. I took them out and put them directly in the box and now zero smell. Also, I think the one that broke putting it on my arm was a fluke. I have not have any other break and I still do that. I think I just stretched it too far. I would also like to comment on some of the latest reviews saying their glasses fog up and that they are not level 3. I wonder if they accidentally bought the level 1 masks. And I’d love to know what magical masks other people have found that don’t make your glasses fog up. After 2.5 years of fogged up glasses from the medical grade masks the facilities have supplied (I am a traveler and have worked in 7 facilities over the pandemic) I finally gave in and started wearing contact lenses to work. There’s a reason that the amount of lasik surgeries went up when this whole thing started! The only masks (besides N95) in my whole career I have ever seen that don’t fog up are the ones in surgery that are specifically designed not to.I suppose we HCWs will be wearing masks at work until the end of time! I really don’t see any end in sight, and on top of that the quality of masks at work lately have really been going downhill. After we got our last batch in that were by far the worst, most uncomfortable masks ever, I decided to buy my own. They needed to be level 3 and I said to heck with it, if I’m buying my own I’m buying black ones! I pored through the options on Amazon and was about ready to give up (because they all seemed like pure crap) when I stumbled on these. Level 3-check. Black-check. Made in USA-check check check! I looked the company up online, and they seem to be legit. I almost didn’t get them because one of the reviews said they didn’t pass the match test. I don’t know what kind of Superman lungs this person was using, but I damn near passed out from hyperventilating after trying to blow out a match with these! The match barely flickered. They are comfortable and the bands are nice and soft. They’re just a tad on the big side. It’s fine for me and I appreciate it because I can comfortably put the mask under my chin without hurting my ears. If your face is small you may need to knot the bands at the ends or do the twist around the ears. I didn’t like the twist because it makes them gape too much on the side for me. Because of the looser fit and that the nose wire isn’t quite as rigid as maybe it should be, sometimes the mask pushes up towards my eyes when I tuck my chin down for whatever reason (usually to look down) It’s not much of a problem and honestly I can live with it because they are so comfortable. There is just ever so slightly an odor when I first put one on, but it goes away very quickly. And I mean EVER so slight of one. I tend to put my mask on my arm when I’m not wearing it, and so far out of the 3 I’ve worn, one of the bands broke doing this. None of these reasons will make me not buy them again, but is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. As long as we have to wear masks at work, I’ll be buying these! Oh and I do appreciate the extra “customer appreciation” masks, but not sure about that “I got vaccinated” one or whatever it says. Hey I got the shot(s) but I don’t really want to say it on my mask! 😂

Comfortable and a good thickness. Don’t have the fuzzy backing that can be irritating, just a tad loose for my liking

This fabric is less porous than the paper masks one gets at the doctor's office. They block more water vapor droplets. My mother made super masks w/ chiffon which repels water droplets, but I can't always use them (breathing disorder). These are almost as good yet I can easily breathe while wearing them. Plus, I like black. My clinic now allows us to wear our own masks if they are disposable. Perfect! I wish we didn't have to wear masks, but they've honestly improved my overall health. I haven't even had a cold since I started wearing one. I don't miss my normal yearly deep chest cold at all!

Mask quality and function: 5/5Size: 4/5. It is a bit big, but if you have a larger face this is perfect for you! I personally have downsized to this company's kids size for a better fit.

We love the idea that it has spun bound and melt blown polypropylene, exactly what we wanted to repel air transmissions , our only complaint is we really want 4layers that extra layer needed for protection. Nice quality, gaps on sides on small or regular size faces. fits a wide or large face

So far so good.Thick material, that is still easy to breathe with.Ear loops are surprisingly comfortable.The masks that I was using previously were great, but the quality declined. The ear piece was not round just flat and were so comfortable so I was a bit nervous on seeing that the ear loops on these were round.
