Love Jesse Stone
Tom Selleck is great as Jesse Stone. All of these movies are great stories. They are a welcome change from blood and gore and crude language.

great
in my humble opinion tom selleck doesn't make a bad film or TV seriesbasic profileJesse stone is fired from a major American city police force due to beingdrunk on the job, he applies and gets the position of police chief in a tiny towncalled PARADISE with a population of just under 1000, he has a staff of 3-4and mostly they deal with small crimes. Obviously he's over qualified for the jobbut gets to grips with it, his drinking is his demon though he doesn't drink on the job he does in the home, also every day he talks to his ex wife jenny on the phone, he has numerousrelationships one ends in tragedya great riveting tv movies

Another great night in
Another perfect Jesse Stone movie with just the right amount of twists and turns, clean language and even most of the baddies seem gentile. The movie does stand alone but if you can watch it in sequence it is really useful as you understand the references.Enjoy.The series is:Stone ColdNight PassageDeath in paradiseSea changeThin iceNo remorseInnocents lostBenefits of doubtJess stone lost in paradise

Long live Jesses Stone!
This film easily maintains the standard set by the earlier films in the series. While it can be viewed as a stand alone film, one really needs to have seen the previous films to fully appreciate the references made, and Jesse Stone's realationship to certain characters who appear,in 'Thin Ice'.Additionally, one has to be a film buff to appreciate the name of the Internal Affairs officer(cf:a very much larger than life actor who appears in the 1941 film 'The Maltese Falcon').Tom Selleck is once again superb as Jesse Stone. The script is multilayered, and contains some sharp dialogue.Thoroughly recommended.

Sellek in a different light
I was never a Selleck fan, but this series of films changed that.Good ones and not quite as good in the 9 films, see Wiki if you want to cherry pick. I bought the entire set. Some of them have been on TV over here several times, but it'll be nice to know they're on the shelf when Channel 5 gets tired of airing them.Nice to know Americans can do something a bit classier every once in a while. If they made less big city / bad ass / rogue / rookie / lawyery crap and more like this then I'd probably gravitate towards it rather be repulsed by it.
