Pineapple Corer - 3 In 1 Stainless Steel Pineapple Cutter Slicer Fruit Kitchen Peeler Tool

There's been a bumper crop this year. My local produce market had several sales for $1 pineapple. I was really looking forward to using a pineapple corer to make quick work of the plentiful pineapple. But my hopes are crushed. I didn't even use this pineapple corer because of the poor quality. I almost cut my head from the spurs on the cutting teeth. The cutter edges are full of hanging metal splinters and uneven. The business end was not deburred or straightened. There's only 6 spot welds holding the spiralizer in place. See the photos. Though the thin gauge metal, the assembly is stiff in hand. But I can't imagine the spot welds to hold up to use over time. The uneven teeth can't efficiently cut the pineapple and need more effort than needed and the pineapple edges are probably more mangled and more juice loss. I can't recommend this brand pineapple corer due to the poor quality. I will be far happier with a durable product for a few dollars more.
