GREAT for pine pellet litter box!!!!
We are a cat loving family, and have 3. I bought this litter box after being incredibly frustrated with the horrible ongoing litter box smell in our home, plus the fact that we spend so much money every month on cat litter. We tried many sprays, powders, and scented scoopable litters, but nothing got rid of the smell. We were also tired of stepping on litter around the litter box constantly regardless of the fact that we had a fully enclosed litter box and would sweep around it more than once a day.How to:Purchase "Pine Pellet Bedding". We got a 40lb bag from Tractor Supply for $5.99. Line the bottom tray with a garbage bag (our normal drawstring tall kitchen bags work for this). Fill the top tray with the pine pellets. In order to make this work, you have to put some wood chunks or something similar, on the bottom tray under the plastic bag liner (see pic). Just make sure the wood is thick enough to ensure there is a couple of inches between the two trays. Each time you scoop the box (for poop), you shake the top tray around and all of the "urine dust" falls and is collected in the bottom tray. When the cat/s urinate in the box, it causes the pellets to immediately reduce to a dust. We have been using this set up for over a week and still not had to change out the plastic bag liner in the bottom tray, there is zero urine scent. The best part of this set up, in my opinion, is the fact that you never have to change out all of the pellets. You just keep adding new pellets in as needed. With our old traditional litter box set up, I would have to dump all of the litter at least once a week and refill due to the odor.We have been using this set up for over a week and I have not smelled any cat urine smell whatsoever! When the cat/s poop, that has to be scooped out and tossed like in a normal litter box- because the poop does not get covered in litter, it does smell a little worse than a traditional litter box. There is a light pine smell due to the pellets, and overall the box smells so much better than our old traditional box (but when the cat/s poop, you want to get it out as soon as you can due to smell). I occasionally find some pellets that have been kicked out of the box but nothing compared to the amount of litter that would be kicked out throughout each day- and this is an open box as opposed to our old enclosed box.My experience with this set up has been GREAT. I wouldn't even think about going back to our old litter box set up. We will also be saving so much money every month it's ridiculous.Maybe now we can get a couple more cats? LOL.

Great litter box, makes clean up quick and easy!
This litter box is great! The pieces stack easily making cleanup quick. I was nervous about the size. Some reviews say it’s small but it is the same size as my existing litter box.The pieces are sturdy and smooth so the litter slides out easily. If you do have a cat that kicks up a lot of litter or sprays, this might not work well for you. The walls are not high and there is no cover.

Gets the job done.
Overall well made litter box, the sifting pan is really useful for saving time if you have a busy schedule that doesn't always afford you a lot of clean up time during the day. As a note I have only used this with clay litter. It is a bit on the smaller side so I would really only recommend one cat use this at a time and if you have a larger cat I would honestly consider alternatives. My cat is a bit bulkier and was the runt of her litter and the box is just big enough for her. I also would be aware that the litter has a tendency to stick really easily to the box, as most plastic litter boxes do, but if you line it with baking soda before you put the litter in you shouldn't need to worry about that. It gets the job done.

So Easy!...
My intention was to get this temporarily until I had the money for a larger, fancier litter box...But I have fallen in love with this litter box!...Because of the sifting feature, I don't have to go 'treasure' hunting with a scoop...It's so easy to just sift and switch top and bottom layers...My cat is a big boy and I wish this came in a bigger size, but he seems to like this one just fine and so we are mutually agreed: This one stays...

Will this survive your distance kicker cats?
So a a quick write up on this item:Pros:- price is good, it was on special and can’t beat that- additional walls/height is good because my cats are apparently over here kicking for LSU. Literal field goals.- name brand with is more than I can say for most.Cons:- sizing of the model I bought was small considering I was getting this for multiple cats. I think the seller could probably put some better pictures for sizing than a quick measurement picture. Too many show photoshopped cats etc so at least improve on those other manufacturers.- plastic was quite thin, and was slightly deformed in shipping I suspect. Again the sizing probably leads to this thinner plastic and the price pushes build quality down a bit. Will it last? Not sure at this point,- the attachment mechanism of the walls is decent, but it could be better.- the opening is a bit far back, so I am wondering if my football cats will be able to kick their litter over its walls or not.Overall it’s not a bad product, but comparing to the larger “Sophresh” covered product I will say it is clearly a cheaper build and physically smaller product. Probably will be ok, but if you want to give your cat additional space it’ll be lacking. Will update as we get more experience with it.

Works well with pellets but really not that large
Well made and works well for the pellet litter. I would not call this large by any means. It has fairly high sides which keeps the litter in but make it seem even smaller. If you have a big cat it may not fit. I would buy again if I only had smaller cats, because I have several big guys I'll probably have to make my own out of actual large litter boxes or storage tubs.
