Was told hippies love these. So I bought one for my sister. She loved it. I can now confirm. Hippies love these. Would recommend for hippies all around.

I like my lamp....
Beautiful, solid item. Wood base very well made. Lovely glow, nice dimmer. Does it noticeably clean the air? Not that I can tell. Does it eliminate odors? Not that I can tell. Is it hype? I think so. Am I glad I bought it? Yes. No matter if it does/doesn't do all those things, I really love my lamp. Is it really because I am a child of the 70s? Most likely, yes. Peace out..........

Sickly looking
I wasn't going to review this item, I was just going to return it. But they wanted to charge me so much for shipping the item back that it wasn't worth my time. I do not plan to ever use this item. I bought it for my desk at work, to offset the harsh lighting and provide a little bit of air purification. But it is so ugly that I would never put it on my desk. First of all, the salt is mounted on the wood base in a way that makes it look very lopsided. Second of all, I realize the color of these lamps changes from item to item, but the one I received barely has a rose color at all. It is really pale and has an off-putting shiny quality to it. It looks like if the lamp in the picture got really ill and was on it's death bed. Definitely not something I want to look at all day.

Nice little lamp
The dimmer switch is nice. There's a little but of brown paint on the stone down by where the base joins, but it's not really noticeable. I like that the base is attached to the lamp. I don't know that it does any of the stuff it promises, because the light doesn't really produce enough heat to actually "charge" the stone. But I'm happy that way - I wouldn't want it to get too hot anyway.

I am very happy with my Himalayan Salt Lamp
I am very happy with my Himalayan Salt Lamp. It gives a beautiful glow to the room and has a dimmer switch so you can choose the brightness that you desire. I haven't had it long enough to determine if it gives health benefits, but it certainly is well made and beautiful.

Disappointed
I was disappointed as I bought this for a friend for her birthday. When it arrived the box was all beat up as if it were returned by someone else. My friend could not get the light inside it because the hole was too small. She wouldn't let me return it, she improvised and put it in a metal stand to keep the light in. I would not recommend this product.

Sounds stupid that a lamp can do this
I got this lamp for our Bedroom, as my husband snores, I was told if you leave it on all the time that it help for breathing, to stop his snoring, As much as I thought this was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard of. My husband was for getting the lamp to try it. Well it has been 3 weeks and he isn't snoring. Sounds stupid that a lamp can do this, but it is working, I just got another one for our Florida house, I buy 10, just to keep him from snoring. So I Love this lamp, it is very pretty,

It is pretty much as pictured
The lamp arrived intact and with no damage. It is pretty much as pictured, and I do like the dimmer cord. However, the lamp is quite a bit underweight at only 7 pounds when it was advertised as 9-14, and it came without a bulb. I am keeping it, although I will have to use it in a different room due to its smaller size and buy a bulb for it.
