When its cold, the butter holds to the knife and it spreads nicely on the hot corn, but buttering heats it. The second pat of butter slides off. Maybe 4* out of 5 is unfair, but buy enough for everyone.

After seeing this item I had to try it and I’m very happy I did. I simply scooped some butter and spread - turn the corn and spread again. Very quick, easy to use, evenly spread and perfect. I found the soft spread butter to melt a little too fast so I tried stick butter and was very happy. I highly recommend this inexpensive yet very well made product.

This product makes buttering a corn cob so easy! We used to turn an entire stick of butter sideways but with this tool, there is no waste left over and it’s even easy to get butter from those tubs.

This is a perfect tool for buttering corn! The only thing you have to do especially in the summer is to refrigerate or freeze it or the stick butter will not adhere to the tool for spreading.

My family loves corn on the cob. We had a different corn butterer I got for free but it was a mess to clean. This one works really well and doesn't require you to load a stick of butter into it. Yes, it is a one trick pony but it has earned it's place in our utensil drawer.

Nothing to criticize on this item. Great idea. Takes the mess and clumsiness of buttering corn on cob.
