Lizavo DBS-001 Aluminum Automatic Door Bottom Seal, Surface Mounted

Overall this product worked as expected and is of good quality. Because my door was very old and had a gap when closed at the hinge-side, I had to use something other than the thumbtack for the plunger screw to contact, but that was simple enough.The seal on the floor is very good after installation. Please do note that the measurement to mount the seal is from the floor. This was important in my case because the door to floor gap was not even from one side to the other as something slants in this old house. Using the measurement from the floor ensured that the seal would contact properly when installed.My door was narrower so I cut down the seal evenly on both sides which worked out fine. This gave me a look at the construction and materials, and I found the seal well-made. The bottom line is that this product was exactly what I needed to seal the gap and it worked out better than I expected.

First time buying one of these...I had a town house with hardwood floors. The living room was just outside my bedroom which has a door with a 1.5 inch opening at the bottom 😪. So I bought this to seal that gap to help cut down on the amount of noise coming in from the bottom.Now about the product... It sort of works. Used a saw to cut an inch from either side to install it; there's no padding or rubber between the two metal pieces; one piece slides down when the door is closed, which makes the seal, and the other piece is fixed to the door. Though it does close the gap, there's visible space between the two pieces, so yeah... The noise just travels through that tiny gap because once closed the two pieces are now separate, still connected by the housing, but there's nothing between them or keeping them pressed together that would block sound and make a seal. But it does look nice and blocks some noise just barely... I'd say 10% noise reduction. Noticable but not enough and not as promised from the description.Also, it's misleading because you'd also have to order weather stripping or sound proofing strips to install along your door jamb to actually get this thing to do any justice, which is what I did. After that, I got about 30% sound reduction. The weather stripping really helped seal the gaps around the door. A more sturdy high quality door seal would definitely do the job... This ain't it.

Works as expected, helps keep out sound from laundry room

This automatic door sweep has a really cheap mechanism for lowering the weatherstripping. The doorjamb pushes in the screw that just lets the piece of rubber hang down from a center mounted location with no force behind it except gravity. This is not going to stop a strong gust of wind from flowing through the gap. If you're just looking for something to block the light getting under the door then this might work for you. One more thing... What I did not realize is this has to be mounted on the outside of an inward swinging front door, so getting a tight seal while at the same time being able to open the door without the weatherstripping catching the threshold is impossible. Cheap, janky product.

Cheap. Save your money. Spend a little more and get something that will hold up.

This was great choice. Had a gap at bottom of door. When the door closes it pushes an inner bar which lightly pushes a bar down and it seals to floor. The floor has a slight angle and the sweep matches it as it makes direct contact with floor. Be sure when you order that it comes with cutting/install instructions so you know exactly how to install this correctly. Other reviewers installed incorrectly and then the sweep will not operate as intended.

Works great. Somewhat awkward to install

Do NOT buy this. The spring mechanism is NOT strong enough to retract the seal. This is a cheap product and a waste of money.
