I recently purchased the ORICO 2.5 inch External Hard Drive Enclosure and I am so glad I did! I needed a way to expand the storage on my laptop and this enclosure was the perfect solution.The enclosure is made of decent-quality plastic materials and it is very easy to use. Simply insert your hard drive or SSD into the enclosure, connect it to your computer with the included USB cable, and you're good to go!The enclosure supports UASP, which can significantly improve the transfer speeds of your hard drive or SSD. I have been very impressed with the performance of the enclosure. I can easily transfer large files from my laptop to the enclosure and vice versa.Overall, I am very happy with the ORICO 2.5-inch External Hard Drive Enclosure. It is a great way to expand your storage and it is very easy to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an external hard drive enclosure.

This is amazing product. Just insert any laptop hard drive into this and you are ready to use that as secondary storage via USB.The most amazing thing is that it is plug n play, no drivers needed.

Using it with my wd green 240gb SSD and finding good speeds. Cable quality is not the best and the case plastic feels very light, only time will tell how durable the overall build quality is. This is 5gbps version but I don't think 6gbps version will give a large boost to the speeds so I'll recommend to go for this one as it is significantly cheaper. Unless you want a type c connection specifically then going for 6gbps enclosure makes more sense otherwise this one is good value for money.

Easy installation and hard plastic material. Will definitely not save the internal disk from falls but will it from minor bumps and scratches.The connectivity speed is descend enough for daily uses and backups but positively not recommended for professional.

Delivered in well packing and fitting is super easy.getting 100-120mbps when connected to USB 3.0 support port..Make sure you are connecting it to the USB 3 and some laptops got USB 2 to 3.1 supporting ports..Happy with the item now and lets see how it last.Price is on higher side..

Case quality is very good, for speed data transfer it has a specially designed cable

Sliding open is difficult, it's so tight. It also takes long to initialise itself. After that read/write speeds are low - in the range of 150-200 mbps. I have another SATA enclosure from Orico which has these speeds at 400-450 mbps

FUNCIONA A LA PERFECCION

Lo conecte a una raspberry pi 4 para usar un ssd como arranque, se conecta sin problemas a puerto USB 2.0, pero al conectarlo al puerto USB 3.0 no lo reconoce, compre dos de este modelo y los dos tienen la misma respuesta, sin embargo compre otro adaptador de otra marca que no trae el case, es decir solo el cable de la interfase, me costo casi un 40% mas, pero éste funciona sin ningun problema y la diferencia de velocidad con respecto al USB 2.0 si es muy notable, proble en una PC con Windows 11 y los resultados de conectar al puerto USB 2.0 y al 3.0 son muy parecidos entre si, es decir al conectar el dispositivo a un puerto USB 3.0 el desempeño es muy parecido a conectralo a un puerto USB 2.0, cuando al utilizar el otro convertidor si es muy notoria la diferencia

This product is great. I was skeptical at first because of the mixed reviews but I still ordered it to see what happens and so far so good. Product it’s very easy to use however it won’t just open easily you have to push and it will open. I currently have an old ssd-hdd hybrid laptop disk and it works just fine.I personally love this idea of a product because I really didn’t wanna spend 100+ dollars in a new external drive when I can just use this case for whatever drive I have here. You can use any 2.5 drive from a laptop or any ssd. You can even get an m.2 to Sata and install it there as well. There’s room for a lot of options and I currently love it. To me it doesn’t look like a case it looks like a normal external drive. It also has a small light indicator that turns on when you connect it.Overall this product is a great buy. Cheap, good quality, very functional and durable. 5/5!!
