Awesome lamp
I'm very happy with this purchase. I wouldn't say it makes my bedroom look like a forest but the design's on the walls look pretty awesome. It is the perfect amount of light when you're looking to relax.***Update*** I still love this lamp. Around the same time I got this lamp, I noticed my dog started acting really weird, (stopped getting on my bed, hiding in a corner...) Today when I picked it up, I realized my dog is terrified by shadows. If you have a skitish rescue dog, don't order the lamp. :/

Big fan of little lamp
It's pretty small at only 15 inches tall, which I consider a positive. I don't need a big space-wasting lamp.It comes with a small bulb that isn't very bright, but will light the corner of a room with a nice glow. It's not LED though, so I may replace it with one. Either way it works nicely with the lampshade to create patterns on the wall. I'm a big fan of the patterns.I was worried the lampshade would be made of that super thin sheet metal that bends easily. However, it is sturdy enoiugh that I'm not worried about it accidentally bending. It might if I drop it, but maybe not.For the record, I think the complaints that the shadows from the shade aren't as advertised are silly. The lampshade is as advertised. Of course the shadows produced are going to vary with the brightness of the bulb and the distance of the lamp from the wall. I don't much care. It puts nice shadows on the wall regardless. Just don't make the bulb too bright. The whole thing looks nice in its uniform black, and I really like the switch for turning it on and off, which is on the cord about 4.5 inches from the base of the lamp. I'm very happy with this purchase. My only complaint is there are a few pieces made of plastic that I'd prefer to be metal. Doesn't make any aesthetic difference, though.

Cool lamp if you have the right setting and lumen rating
This is a cool light, but you're going to need the right setting and bulb to get a good use of its effect. Most of all, you will need to match your bulb lumen rating to the desired level of forest shadows.First, the product looks just as pictured in terms of the shade and lamp body. It's not particularly fancy looking in that regard because it's just a metal lamp shade. Being metal that was thin enough to cut, it isn't terrible resilient. Mine is already a little bent on one edge just from unpacking it and moving it around. But it's all black, so it isn't that noticeable. But you're probably not buying this because of how it looks with the lights on. It's for the shadows. You'll need the perfect balance of a bulb that is dim enough to not overpower the cut-out but not so dim that it's useless (a lamp is made to make light!). Mine did not come with a bulb, so I had to find one and experiment with options. It uses an E12 base, and I first tried a 350-lumen bulb and a flickering 300-lumen bulb (the torch-imitating LEDs). There were basically no shadows: the bulbs were just too powerful. Then I tried a 15 lumen bulb (the G7 nightlight bulb): there were shadows, and I attached two pictures showing them, but they have a lot of the thin branches showing unlike in the picture from the seller which is mainly the trunk and large branches. You also had to have the lamp fairly close to the wall to get distinct shadows with that bulb strength. The 15-lumen bulb is also too dim to use in basically any application that has ambient light. It'd be fine for a nightlight application of the lamp, though.I also tried bulbs in the 50 lumen and 100 lumen range. Pictures are attached. The 50 lumen bulb made the best shadow effect, and it was most pronounced when pretty close to the wall. I used the Century Light C7 LED .5W warm white bulb. At more of a distance, the shadows still had a general tree effect though. The 100 lumen bulb made distinct shadows at a good distance, but it caused a lot of tree branch shadows too that I didn't like. For me, the best bulb is the 50 lumen, but I'd recommend checking out the pictures to try for yourself. If you have the right bulb, this is a cool lamp. I recommend it to others.

I just love how different and eye catching this lamp is!
This is a very cool lamp! It is well constructed. I love the shadows it casts on the wall. I was looking for something different and this defiently fits the bill. Im actually thinking of redecorating my bedroom now around this one lamp because I like it so much!

Fashionable night light
I wasn't quite sure I would like this lamp, but now we use it every night as a pretty night light in our family and dining room area. It throws out the right amount of light to see the entire space (and it is a large space), but could not be used for reading or other more typical uses. Well made and the lamp shade is etched beautifully.

Nice low light, but no tree pattern
Puts out just the right amount of light to find your way around without the harshness of an overhead source. This would not be good for reading. I am disappointed that it doesn't put trees on my walls and ceilings, rather a Chevron pattern. Pretty though.

Adorable and Cat-Proof
These are perfect size for on the headboard of my bed (storage headboard)! They are super cute and relatively cat proof, too. They us a 25w type B bulb, so pretty standard for a small lamp. Would highly recommend if looking for a small table lamp!

Broke very fast.
Worked beautifully for 2 months. No one did anything to it, the bulb is fine, it sat undisturbed. Not happy i have to buy another lamp.

Fantastic item!
Bought two of these lamps a year ago, and still really love them! They're perfect as my nightstand lights. They look just like the pics and turned on, they cast really cool shadows like a forest in the dark. The base is sturdy enough that it doesn't tip over easily, and the rocker on/off switch is located close to the base on the electrical cord. These lamps take a chandelier-style E12 sized lightbulb. I found these can be pricey & hard to find where I live, but I did find (on Amazon) an E12 to E26 adapter for them (E26size is the standard sized lightbulb in N.America, thus much easier to buy). Would absolutely buy this item again!
