This works great. We purchased this for our spray foam company to keep our drums heated in the winter. We have used these one winter so far. The product has to be kept at a certain temperature and these helped a ton in our Kansas cold winters.

After 5 days of use the plug exploded, caught fire and shorted out the heater. I was very fortunate that my building did not catch fire. Beware. Do not buy this product. I was a few days outside of the return window, so I have to eat the $76.31 cost. I replaced the plug only to discover that the grounding pin in the original plug is not wired. I can only guess that it is there to give the illusion of safety. This system is not safe! See attached pictures. The new plug did not result in the unit being operational.

Comes with a small 'Instruction Sheet'? Who knows? It's all Chinese. Nothing in English, no company name. Amazon must think this is helpful? Buyer needs to guess at how to use the settings functions?

This band will heat the crud out of a drum, but it doesn’t pull 2000w. According to my tester (it could be that my tester isn’t able to go to 2000w I’m not sure) it’s pulling 1650ish watts. However the reason why I knocked two stars off is the plug on it. I plugged it into an extension cord to verify that it heated before the larger gauge cord arrived. It now CANNOT be unplugged from that extension cable. I have pulled the crap out of it without any luck. I made sure that plug didn’t get hot during my testing so it’s not that it welded itself together. I’m probably going to have to cut both ends off and replace them.

Caught fire today luckily my son was home. grabbed it & through it out side. & put it out. & no one got hurt but it could have been alot worse.

This heater works great, can't speak to the longevity because I haven't had it long enough but it does an excellent job heating up a 55 gallon drum. My shop is not temperature controlled and we were in the middle of a cold snap (below zero F high temps for a week) and this still managed 135 degrees in the drum, wrapped it with R19 insulation and it had no problem getting to 140 in under an hour. Would recommend would buy again.

I purchased it last July, and it has worked well until this month (April). One of the prongs started melting the extension cord into which it's plugged. I cleaned it well and swapped out a new extension cord, and it happened again immediately and began smoking. The prong feels loose. So beware!
