I need a number pad with a "enter" key and a "f3" key. will this plug and play for those keys on windows?

Yes. It works on window. USB interface and plug and play. When you press 123456 number key , then press the ENTER key , You can see it on Window . The F3 key default blank or Letter " C " . We can customize the F3 content. But in Amazon warehouse ,the keyboard's F3 key is blank or display C when you press the key. If you need customize the keyboard , you can through Amazon message contact to our.

Will this work on a payment terminal ?

Hey , The YD541 works for payment system for input password comfirm command . it's plug and play . it has two model of version which are ciphertest (when you press the keys , screen display ******* ) and plaintext ( when you press the number keys , screen display 12345678）

Does it have a chip reader or is this only a keypad?

Only a keypad, not a card reader.

Will this work with a MAC?

It should. It works the same as any keyboard would.
