I have tried a number of tongue scrapers, some poor, some so-so. I really did not think that this tongue scraper would be my favourite. It looks cheap and it is made of plastic, so it cannot be that great, right? Wrong! It takes more gunk off my tongue on its own than a combination of other tongue scrapers. The end reminds me of a little rake. Also, it is smaller at the back, so it does reduce the gag reflex. It does not eliminate it completely but it really does help. I can put this further back in my mouth than any other tongue scraper. I do not know how long it will last, considering the material it is made from, but so far, it seems to be fine - no marks, no sign of wear - nothing. As I like it so much and as I am concerned, rightly or wrongly, about its durability, I ordered more than one. Unless something new and amazing comes onto the market, I am not buying any other kind of tongue scraper again.

I have a tongue cleaner that looks like a disposable razor. The edge is not serrated. I've been searching for one like I have for my travel bag, as I've tried other type and found them to not work as well. I thought this item would be similar enough, but it is quite long and has a small head with grooves. Not at all like I was looking for but better than the others I've tried. Will keep looking for one like I have.

I read a lot of reviews of different tongue cleaners before purchasing. My primary concern was the effect on the gag reflex. For me, this actually makes the gag reflex worse than a toothbrush.

I love it! I have tried many other tongue scrapers over the years including the $50 titanium ones and this one is the best ever. Its slim head allows you to see what you are doing and the small rake at the front does an excellent job pulling gunk out from the small grooves of your tongue. The slim long handle lets you reach farther back than most other tongue scrapers, while still allowing you to see and have control over the device. The unit can be very gentle to very firm on your tongue just depending on how much pressure you apply. My mouth has never felt so clean before!

I didn't experience any improvement between this and my old u-shaped stainless tongue scraper. Actually, I've returned to using my old one. The straight edge design does not scoop the material from your tongue together and away so you wind up with that stuff still loose in your mouth. I know...gross! And the ridged cleaning surface seems to leave more behind. Seemed like a cool idea but didn't pan out for me. Not worth returning.

Seems to work well; could use a groove at the end to collect the scrapings.

I like the handle, the material, color, and overall design. The width is great because of the feeling of precision. This is the best tongue scraper I've ever used. It does take some getting used to at first though, as it can be a little pokey at the back of the mouth at the throat area. But this is minor and you get used to and appreciate it.
