Good idea, just didin't work out very well
Ok so first, it has a top but in the directions it came with it does not mention using the top *at all*. It says to use paper towels on top when microwaving, so I guess the top is for storing the cooked bacon? But it has holes so that doesn't makes sense, either. Second, it does not cook the bacon evenly. The bacon cooked better on a plate. Third, need to cook on 70-80% power (directions say 80% power for microwaves over 800 watts, ours is small but mighty at 1000 watts) and I switch the bacon around during cooking which I figured out myself. Fourth, I had one of these growing up and the grooves were much deeper so the grease would drain away...this one has grooves but is very shallow so it is still sits in the grease while it's cooking, just not as much as while cooking on a plate or skillet. Last, It's pretty small, could only fit about 4 pieces and it hung over the edges length-wise. I haven't tried to cook it with the top on because I'm scared it will melt. I guess you get what you pay for.

I bought this cooker to avoid having to fry bacon in a pan which smelled up the kitchen. This cooker has been great. It holds the bacon grease which helps with reducing bacon odor. I have an older microwave and depending on the amount of bacon I put into the cooker, it can take 2 to 6 minutes to cook thick sliced bacon. I've used the unit for over a month and have had no issues with cleanup or cracking. Others that have had cracking issues, I'm assuming they over cooked when using the cooker which isn't recommended by the manufacturer. I highly recommend, it make frying bacon fast and easy with little cleanup. Follow Up: The unit lasted ~6-months after being used almost every day which was not problem for me.

Convenient and No Mess
Finally a way to cook bacon in a microwave without splatters and fat is collected efficiently in drip tray making cleanup a breeze. Should be a bit longer to accommodate normal slice lengths of bacon, otherwise 5 stars

Great customer service to just credit my account
This is a small pan. That being said, when I tried to return, they said basically to keep the pan and they would credit. It doesn't hold much if you want to use it to microwave bacon. I would say it holds 3 normal slices of bacon max. Great customer service to just credit my account. Not an expensive item, but this treatment is rare.

Exceeded my expectations
This bacon crisper works really well. The lid holds in the splatter while the ribbed tray separates the bacon from the grease. Bacon comes out as crispy as you want based on time cooked. Small enough to fit in medium sized microwaves but big enough to cook several pieces of bacon at the same time. Easy to clean up. Prep Solutions by Progressive Microwave Bacon Cooker

The pros and cons
PROS:Works great on 4 slices of bacon. The bottom section stays cool enough to touch.CONS:The reservoir is too small for 6 slices of bacon causing them to be cooking in oil as it fills up while cooking. The finger hold on the lid is hard to use unless you have tiny fingers. It’s too narrow for 6 slices without overlapping and too short to lay bacon straight, but fits as it shrinks.

Just the right size, and it has a lid.
While most meats don't "brown" in the microwave, the microwave is the best and easiest way to cook bacon. Put the same amount in, enter the same cooking time, and It comes out perfect every time. Unlike my last one, this one comes with a lid. No more using paper towels to cover the bacon.

A little disappointed
This will cook bacon efficiently and is very good! The problem I have with it, is I have to cut the pieces to make it fit the rack. I can't make 4 pieces at a time, I can only male 2, after I cut them to fit. I like my bacon extra crispy, so I cook the 2 pieces for 3 minutes on a microwave that is 1500. They suggest lowering the power to 800, if you have a 1500 power mic. and then cooking for 1 minute per piece. Probably works well, if the pieces fit the tray. I kept it because I think I can make it work, but in my case I probably should have gotten a larger one!

perfect bacon
cooks my bacon perfectly, but also the kids use it for pizza pockets or reheat certain foods. Which I had gotten the bigger one. You wont be disappointed.

WORKS GREAT BUT CAME DAMAGED
It works great but when I looked at it there was a crack down one side of it so it probably won't last very long, otherwise it would get a 5 star rating
