Wonderful Olive Wood Spatula
This spatula is really beautiful, the olive wood has a really nice grain, and the spatula is well designed and not only is striking in appearance but it functions just as well as it looks. It's made of one solid piece of wood, no seams. I use it almost every day now. I hardly use my metal utensils now as the feel of the wood is so comfortable, and I don't have to worry about ruining the finish on anything. It's very easy to clean by hand, and every once in a while I rub it with a little oil to keep up it's finish. I very highly recommend this terrific utensil.

Well designed, practical and gorgeous
We love the look and durability of olive wood in the kitchen, so when I saw this spatula, I knew my wife would like it. We have a few other olive wood utensils, including a salad serving set, a mortar and pestle, and some trays. They hold up well under constant use, and a regular good oiling brings back their beauty and utility. Her everyday use wooden spatula is worn out, so it is time to let it go.This tool is gorgeous. The grain and contrasting figuring are so pleasing. It has a comfortable handle, and the width of the business end is just right for any application. It truly does get almost everyday use, but we know it will hold up. Of course, it has to be cleaned regularly, and a good oil applied when the finish gets dull. We use Walrus Oil, an excellent food safe treatment (available on Amazon) on all of our olive wood and other wooden kitchen stuff.

I use this daily!
This is such a nice utensil! I use it daily, when cooking meals, and I just love it. It's great for your non-stick pans, but it also works well on my cast iron cookware too! It's easy to clean, just make sure you don't leave it soaking in water, as it is wood, and you don't need to soak it.

Beautiful utensil....almost too pretty to cook with!
I have been working on getting away from plastics and metal utensils (I cook a lot of sourdough and other fermented foods) and when I saw this "spatula" I fell in love with it! I had not seen nor heard of utensils made with olive wood so I ordered this one with great interest. When it arrived I was quite surprised at the natural beauty of this wood! This piece is absolutely gorgeous! Instructions say to treat it with food-grade mineral oil but I used olive oil (it is, after all, olive wood) followed by a very light coat of beeswax, then wiped "dry" with a soft dry cloth. It's almost too pretty to cook with, lol. My husband is retired timber industry so he's a "wood guy" and is fascinated with the characteristics and grain/pattern, lol. He gives me a thumbs up on structural for the one we received.....I give it a thumbs up in looks and functionability. Both thumbs up for "upgraded luxury", it's a gorgeous piece of nature.....I need a whole set now, seriously. No more dollar store wooden spoons for this girl! If it's going to be wood, then it can be gorgeous too, right? 💯💜

Beautiful, environmentally friendly & strong
My son loves to cook. He’s also into natural products. He asked me for an olive wood spatula. I had never heard of such a thing! Imagine my surprise at seeing one online shortly after this request. They do exist!I ordered this thinking it would be like the cheap little olive wood crosses we used to get from folks who traveled to the Holy Land. Boy was I wrong! This is a thing of beauty—well carved and sanded smooth. It’s even got a beveled edge at the tip to make it easier to scrape the edge of a bowl or Instapot without scratching the surface. It’s surprisingly strong, too. I figured it would just be used for stirring like a wooden spoon or scraping like a rubber spatula, but this could be used to break up ground beef in a skillet, spread butter or frosting, etc.I really like that it is environmentally friendly. It’s made in the good ole USA of olive trees that are too old to produce fruit. When one of these is cut down, the folks in the Texas-based company plant a new one to replace it. Pretty cool! Since it’s made of natural wood, each one is unique. It even comes with a recipe card (which appears to be made of recycled cardboard).About the only thing I don’t like is that it requires extra care. Like a wooden butcher block cutting board, you have to be careful it doesn’t get soaked in water, or it can be ruined. It’s also advised that you use food-grade mineral oil to keep it moisturized and prevent it from drying out (and splitting, no doubt). I also worry that the wood may hold bacteria, which is why I don’t generally use wooden kitchen utensils. However, if you’re into this sort of thing, I think this would be a good choice. At about $15 for the one spatula, I think it’s a bit overpriced. However, for the quality of craftsmanship, it would make a nice wedding gift or housewarming present.

Beautiful and useful!
This olive wood spatula is as beautiful as it is useful! I absolutely love the color and intricate grain of this olive wood spatula. The flat and thin edge makes it great for stirring, scrapping, and chopping almost anything. I like that, because it is made of wood, it will not ruin your expensive non-stick pots and pans. To maintain the integrity of the olive wood, I recommend washing it by hand with a mild soap and treating it with olive oil every so often. This is a wonderful and striking addition to my kitchen utensils and I highly recommend!

Looks pretty, feels sturdy
Not sure if you are supposed to call a wooden spatula pretty but I would say this one is easy on the eyes! Smooth, well crafted and you can tell it's "real" wood, not particle board, etc. It also feels quite sturdy, like it would withstand some abuse. The spatula "edge" is a bit blunt so I am using this for stir fry, cooking ground beef; situations where you are just moving things around a pan vs. a scenario where you need a fine/sharp edge such as for flipping pancakes or a fried egg. Not a complaint, just FYI. A nice "plus" is that it was presented/packaged well. Wrapped in clear cellophane with a card attached with instructions for use and care. Suitable for gift giving as far as the presentation if giving a spatula as a gift could be a thing, I'd give this one!
