My husband is a diesel mechanic and as such he already had a scanner but I wanted to get him another more portable one. He liked everything this one had to offer, so we ordered it. He finally got to really use it today when his truck's check engine light came on. He was very impressed with the scanner. Of course, for him, it was easy to use, but he was really impressed with the functionality in general. He was quickly able to read the code and figure out what was wrong with his truck. The screen is nice and bright at night making it super useful if you ever find yourself in a situation needing to use it at night like he did. There aren't many buttons to fumble around with so even the most novice person could use this. The price is accessible enough so anybody could get this and keep in their car should the need to use one arise. We definitely recommend it and are pretty confident it gives the proper codes.

Must-have tool for anybody that owns a car.
I have a wireless OBD2 adapter already, but it requires a different device in order to be used, so I thought it would be cool to get an all-in-one device. This thing is really useful in all the different things it can do. For the price, it's hard to beat. Just buying an app that can interface with my wireless one costs about half this, then you have to buy the actual adapter.I have a newer car which thankfully is still running perfectly, so I haven't needed to read or clear any codes, but it's still nice to be able to check things like battery voltage and other sensor readings. Plus it's all done on a really nice full color screen. A lot of the same information can be seen on my car's built-in system on the center screen, but this can see so much more.

Decent Compact Budget Scanner
Review for: DonosHome Handhelds OBD2 ScannerScanner is quite small/compact. It doesn't take up much space, and is easy to stow in a bag if needed on a road trip.It took plugging/unplugging it a handful of times before it would fully connect with either of the vehicles we tested it on. So it was a bit finicky but, once it managed to connect, there were no issues. It stayed connected, display worked properly and it functioned as intended.Overall, for $20 at time of review, this is a decent budget scanner.

Feature Packed Scanner
This review is for the DonosHome Handhelds OBD2 Scanner Diagnostic Engine Fault Code Reader:I am pleasantly surprised by the functions of this meter for this price. Not only does it fetch codes but spells them out for you. This meter is so feature packed. I have only scratched the surface playing with it so far. However I think it rivals some of the more expensive scanners. The diagnostic color LEDs along with the color screens are just amazing. Navigation is easy using arrows to go up and down Menus and Sub menus. The meter works similar to a traffic signal. Green and everything is a go. Yellow is caution something needs attention. And of course Red. Stop... take notice and repair. Codes are given and explained. There is also a reset of codes or Erase after you have made repairs you may erase them and re-run your diagnosis. To me as an owner mechanic, this is worth five times the cost. You be the judge! I recommend this product highly.

Capable, full color scanner
Scanner works well. Detected all of my cars info instantly. One nice feature is that it has a full library of codes to tell you exactly what the code means. If a p0200 code pops up, you can go to the built in index and look up the exact code description.Another nice feature is the live scanning and starter/battery load testing. The color display is an upgrade from the traditional monochromatic displays that are the standard for pocket scanners. This unit does not seem to have a TPMS scan functionality. The cord was not too long nor too short. The menus are very easy to navigate and the controls provide good tactile feedback. The color display is really nice and easy to read. The manual is nearly useless. This is nicely sized for storage in the vehicle, and is a better scanner than one I purchased for $10 more a year ago, so I would recommend it.
