This mat was recommended by a friend who is also older and concerned about slipping in the shower. First, it works fine. Stays in place and provides a secure footing. It also has a nice cushion that is more comfortable than a flat rubber suction cup type of mat. The water runs through it in the shower so no issue with water collecting. It also comes in multiple lengths and is a good value. BUT it does requires substantial draining after a shower. I must pick it up, hold it up at the corner and then drape it on the edge of the tup or over the faucet to let it drain. Cleaning it is a bit of a bother since it so textured that it collects hair at the edges of mat which must be pulled off. They are too stuck to rinse off. This might actually be a good feature for a household with people with long hair -- could collect some hair before it goes down the drain. But for me it's work I hadn't planned on, and as a senior, not so easy to do. So, I will keep this and keep looking for another solution.

it works to clean your feets.

I don't know what material my shower floor is, it's not magnetic like a tub, it's some sort of plastic and has a texture. The texture does not offer much grip when wet but since it's not smooth I knew a suction cup mat would not work. So I got this one and am glad I did. It's so easy to put down and take up, it's the perfect size, and it feels VERY nice under my feet. There's a horizontal grab bar in my shower and I hang the mat over that after each shower. So far I haven't noticed any mildew but if it happens I plan to spray the mat with some Clorox mildew killer.

This mat is exactly what I was looking for. It is NON SLIP and very comfortable. I actually allow the mat to get wet before stepping onto it in the shower. It dries very well outside in the fresh air or hanging over the shower rod. It is still very new so I can not attest to how long it will last .

There are no suction cups on this mat but it has a non slip backing on it. very comfortable on the feet.

I did like this mat for softness BUT it slips in the tub while I was showering. It is to bad because it is a nice mat but I was very scared of falling in my tub. There are no suction cups to hole it in place so it moves, not good so am returning this product.

I am elderly and suffer from very painful neuropathy of my feet.Standing in a shower has been excruciatingly painful until I discovered this mat.In spite of some of the reviews I found this mat very safe with NO slipping issues and oh so soft and cushiony on my painful feet.I love it and highly recommend it for anyone who wants a soft non slip shower mat.
