A Gorgeous Full Force Romance Comic!
I cried, I cried so much. I have lived so much of this book and it really touched me. I just read it and I was absolutely swept away. I won't lie, it's niche, the art is colorful and cartoony, and has to do with the deep feelings of lost opportunities for love that older LGBT people, like myself, struggle with. The book is an overview of a world, a beautiful foundation for the exploration of relationships between queer people of every age. The thing I love the most about this book is that it is so purely the voice of the creators. This glorious world created by a Queer black woman, about queer black people, is a gem and I want so many more Mari and Hazel stories. GET IT! Bingo Love OGN

Love is Love
Bingo Love was a sweet story about two girls that fall in love in the 60's when it is highly looked down upon only to find each other again as adults and realize they have never stopped loving each other. This is my year for "stepping out of the box" in my reading life so I wanted to give another graphic novel a try. I did enjoy it and the illustrations, but I think that I just prefer a longer, more detailed story. There was more to the story that was indicated that you could find in other books, but I wanted it all there. With that being said, it was an awesome message about love and is a very quick read if that's what you're looking for.

Wow, I loved this second chance romance so much. It was sweet, and heartwarming, but so real, and so heartbreaking. I laughed, I cried, I wanted more. Seriously, I’m so dang happy that I picked this up.This story is told in flashbacks from present day to 1963, where we see two young girls discovering their sexuality. Hazel is at the bingo hall when she lays eyes on the new girl, Mari, for the very first time. Both come from strict and religious homes, but Mari’s homelife is far less supportive. And because of the 60s being a product of its time, they are never allowed to be together. That is, until they meet back up at a bingo hall, fifty years later.“Since when is it a sin to be in love?”But both Hazel and Mari have families and are leading lives where people depend on them. But neither is truly happy, or at least they know that they could be happier, if they were willing to take a risk. This story really is about how life is short, but no matter how short it is it will always be worth listening to your heart and trying to live the life that you want to live.I do want to touch on a few other things that I truly loved about this graphic novel. First this is ownvoices, Tee Franklin is black and queer! Next, Hazel says the word pan on page! Hazel is also plus-sized! And I really loved the normalization of talking to a psychiatrist! This story just had so much good in it, and it truly touched me so very much.Overall, this was just exactly what I wanted. It was equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking, and just made me really appreciate the life I am able to live in 2019. Not saying that 2019 is perfect, but it’s better than the 60s and easier to surround myself with people who love and support me. I completely recommend this graphic novel with my whole heart. The art is perfect, the story is awe-inspiring, and the characters are truly unforgettable.

Cute, but disappointing
The story is cute, but doesn't really go anywhere or actually say anything. There are also loose ends (like who the heck she's telling this whole story to on the first page), and basically add-on content in the middle? Like a "go here to read the rest of it if you've put money into my kickstarter) kind of thing, which was kind of annoying because why didn't you just take it out for the print publication?Anyway. It was nice to see a plus-sized POC heroine as the focus, and, again, the story was sweet. But it just... wasn't enough on its own.

Grandmas in Love = So Much To Love!
When my copy arrived, my kids were so excited by the cover. We read it together (they have low attention so I skimmed a bit) and they loved it so much. It made a huge impact on my daughter who has been bullied for dancing with other girls at her school.A sweet and beautiful story with some amazing details about aging, disability, family, homophobia, and reconciliation. I loved the tech details that helped them as they aged. So much to love! The colors are so glorious and art so lovely. We love Elle and Mari!

Could use more development, still enjoyable
A quick read; the art is very nice but the characters and plot could use a lot of development. This graphic novel could have been more enjoyable if there was more depth to the characters and subtlety used. This book has a great concept and the art is awesome, but even so it felt somewhat incomplete. I enjoyed reading it nevertheless, so I do recommend it to those looking for a fast read.

Love and Life Affirming!
I really enjoyed this story of love found, lost, and found again. The art's adorable, vibrant and colorful, and the character designs are full of personality. I especially liked the attention to the details of adult lives, how they loved different people in different ways, romantic and otherwise. While we're alive, we can love.

Beautiful
I hadn’t heard about this story before it was suggested to me by amazon. I purchased it as an impulse buy, and do not regret it. The art, the story, the everything...I love it all.Warning: you may experience water leaking from your eyes before you finish the book.

It's Not Enough
I been juggling between 2 and 3 stars for a while and 3 seems too generous...The story is well, it's not enough at all, it's good it goes through their whole lives but it's also terrible, to accept this as a book would be insulting, it would be better to think it as a draft or well a pilot summery and i mean this as a compilment because so much more could of been done with it to get too that point.Spoiler but when one of the ladies gets sick...I well, I honestly did cry but it felt forced out of me like, well more provoking then actually apart of the story if that makes any senseStill again a lot of the events feel really forced and i found myself even rolling my eyes and finishing just to complete it then actually feeling compelled but their is something about it that could be remarkable about this story, it's honsestly a diamond in the roughAnd it was rather irretaiting that we have to find about her husband through some other story instead of it being included afterall our realationships can pretty much define us and understanding that would of been good for he story considering he is practicially shunned even though techniquely they are both cheats and decievers, practicially cut from the same cloth though it's not even confirmed if he has anyone to go back tooFinially unfortunely the print of this is bad, the dark skin tone sometimes looks or most times seem like black blobs which is rather depressing as it's hard to see features

Heartwarming
This is a great story and a very well illustrated, well-written comic. I'd urge parents to buy it for young teenagers, I'd also recommend it to adults who like comics and want a bit of a lift, and especially to anyone with experience or an interest in navigating sexual identity and acceptance.

Lovely and charming
This was such a beautiful book. Reading it made me want to cry. I absolutely loved that they got a second chance. The art was also lovely. I would recommend it to everyone. We never really think about older LGBT people so this was very needed indeed.I honestly cannot wait to read more of this writer/artist’s work.Bravo!

Charming
Beautifully illustrated. A heart-warming tale that really inspired and moved me. A story of how love can overcome time and bring families together despite hardships.

☹
Very disappointed. Sentimental and the graphics were underwhelming. I was expecting so much more ☹
