Iodine for thyroid health
I have been taking iodine for quite a while for my hypothyroidism. I used to take it every other day.My doctor found out that I also have fibrocystic breasts which cause a lot of pain and discomfort, So she had me increase to 1 pill a day said the cysts should go away and they did!!!!! I switched from Ioderal to the relentless improvement iodine because of the price. I had been with out any cysts before starting to take and through this last bottle I have yet to have a problem. So I ordered a 2nd bottle I think this is a great product for overall health!

IODINE OR IODIDE? 180 "SLOW RELEASE" TABS
These seem to be "okay", I would personally prefer them not to have the glaze though. I feel the glaze may work as a time-release, which is something I find I don't care for as I don't feel I get the same results from these 'slow release' tablets as I do from the regular, non-glazed. I am also not 100% certain if the ingredients are Iodine or Iodide? The description is a little vague too: "Total Potassium Iodide 16.75 mg 8333% (providing Elemental Iodine 12.5 mg)". On other brands, it is more exact in the description of what you're getting, how much, and from where (be it Potassium Iodide or Iodine). While the value (cost per amount of tablets) is good at first glance, I don't feel in the long run it is worth it; I would prefer a higher-price per tablet and get the results I need. This may work fine for some people, but in my opinion I will purchase a different brand that doesn't have the slow-release and is more descriptive in what their actual ingredients are.

I'm very satisfied with this product and don't feel the need to ...
I started taking these after listening to the "forbidden doctor" podcast by the Stockwells. Stating the fact in the "old days" every child was given an iodine tablet at school every day. then our salt was iodized, then we all started using sea salt and failed to get the iodine supplement from that. I started out taking 4 tabs a day and what i noticed was i started losing 1.5 lbs a week without drastic changes to my diet or increased activity level. I never experienced any noticeable side effects and wasn't diagnosed with any thyroid conditions. I also don't notice softer skin or increased moisturizing. Im just about done with my first bottle and im ordering another. I'm very satisfied with this product and don't feel the need to buy a more expensive product to get the same results.

seems to help. good product quality
i don't know why, or if it's really the reason why, but since i've been taking this my itchy dry eye syndrome has stopped. i suspect the itch was an allergic reaction, and maybe it's possible that this product helps regulate my thyroid's control over my system... ? i don't know. Dr. Berg, on line on youtube, suggested taking iodine. and, someone else suggested the potassium might help block radiation damage from airline travel? can't say. but, i'm definitely going with this product. might be just a superstition, to think i must use this brand, but i'm rational enough to have a few superstitions.

Highly recommend!!!
My GYN recommended I try Iodine after being diagnosed with Endometriosis, Fibrocystic Breast Disease and Hashimoto Disease before having to resort to surgery and RX meds. I have been taking this specific Iodine supplement for over a year now and it has been a life saver! I no longer have all of the pain I previously had and it was recommended that I take it at night to help with my insomnia which it does! I highly recommend it!!

So I will see if it works better that way
The description heading says Iodine / Iodide but the label on the bottle says it is all potassium iodide. Iodoral brand ingredients are iodine and potassium iodide listed as separate amounts. I am not sure it is the same as Iodoral. Since I got it to replace Iodoral which currently is not available, I had hoped it would be the same. So far, I think it is not as effective as Iodoral.Another difference is that this "High Potency Iodine" is enteric coated and is supposed to be released slowly. That may account for some of the difference in how it works. I am concerned that the slow release would allow it to combine with the calcium I take at a later time of day. I had been advised by a nutritional professional not to take iodine and calcium together. The last one I took I chewed so I would be getting it all at once and hopefully prevent the conflict with calcium and other minerals. So I will see if it works better that way.
