Game-Changer for Pour Over Brewing - Thanks, James Hoffman
I picked up the Hario V60 Switch after watching James Hoffman's video on it, and I’m really glad I did. It gives you consistent, well-extracted coffee with very little fuss. The ceramic build feels premium, and it retains heat nicely throughout the brew. The “switch” function (literally a small valve at the base) lets you steep the coffee before releasing it into your cup, which is perfect for experimenting with longer contact times or bloom phases. It’s also super easy to clean. At 200ml, it’s ideal for single-cup brewing, though those who want to brew for two may want the larger version. It’s not the cheapest dripper out there, but if you’re serious about your coffee and love the precision of pour-over with the ease of immersion, this is an excellent tool to have in your lineup.Highly recommended! Especially for coffee nerds like me who watch too much James Hoffman.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pour Over, Upgraded—The Hario V60 Just Got Buffed
If the classic Hario V60 is the benchmark for pour-over precision, the Hario Switch is its next-gen evolution. Think of it as a V60 on steroids—bringing in thoughtful immersion and percolation control and flexibility that make daily brewing far more customizable.☕ Game-Changer for Coffee Tweakers: The built-in valve lets you experiment with bloom times, controlled flow, and hybrid brews. It transforms standard pour-over into a craft experience tailored to how you want your coffee. Whether you're chasing bright acidity or deep richness, the Switch makes dialing in flavor easier and more consistent.🧱 Durability That Impresses: This thing is solid. Mine’s taken a couple of hard tumbles (thanks to slippery countertops and groggy mornings) and it hasn’t cracked, chipped, or leaked. The borosilicate glass and reinforced base are built to survive real-life use, not just careful weekend rituals.🎯 One Brewer to Rule Them All: If budget and space limit you to a single pour-over brewer, make it this one. You get the classic V60 shape plus a precise immersion option all in one device—no need to own separate gear.✅ Final Verdict: Smart, durable, and ridiculously fun to use. The Hario Switch adds versatility without complexity, giving you pro-level control with a beginner-friendly feel. A must-have if you're ready to upgrade your morning cup without over-complicating the process.

Easy to use and care for. Delicious coffee
-Easy and intuitive to use-Easy to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning. Being able to close the valve makes trips to dump the used filter a drip-free mess-Lightweight and mostly durable. The little switch to close/open the valve seems to be made of a thinner plastic, though, so be careful with that particular part.-Our favorite brewing method is to let the grounds soak with the valve closed for ~2m before letting it drip. It's a very quick and easy method-One "fill" of the 03 size makes a large mug of coffee.

I love this. its simple but really effective. unlike bonivitas porcelain one this one has a solid switch system that doesn't have needless joints and weak points. it gets hot but you're supposed ot be moving it by holding the silicone neck at the base. THE BALL DOES NOT FALL OUT. I read a review that the ball falls out so be careful and it made me think twice about buying this before going ahead as its just about the only option these days. They added small silicone ridges in the opening that prevent the ball from falling out if its flipped over. it may come out if its formally shaken and tapped from the bottom. Thats general not normal for cleaning or using this so you should be safe. the taste of the coffee is as expected and I am quite pleased with this replacement to my old broken bonivita or the endless burst filter form doing immersion by putting the filter in the mug and folding the top over the edge to hold it. I recommend giving this a shot if you like the immersion dripper style. its attractive and works great. I cannot speak to cleaning just yet but the bonivita was foul and needed a screw driver to dismantle and clean this cannot be worse than that as its 4 parts total including the ball and leaver. I got the 03 and I would say just buy that and give your self the option to make a larger cup even if its not your normal. The 03 still makes just a few ounces less than bonivita but pouring a little extra water in as it empties into your mug is not a big deal.if any note is to be made its make the flange that rests on the cup lidd a little wider for larger cups but it works for all the ones ive tried so far only being somewhat questionable on the largest.

Excellent brewer!
The Switch is a really great, versatile brewer. It can be used for a straight V60 pour over, a full immersion brewer, or a hybrid of the two. I typically use a hybrid method ( there are lots of YouTube videos showing different methods) or full immersion if I am getting breakfast at the same time because it is super easy. Very made and comes apart for cleaning. I have a lot of #2 filters so I use them for pour over or hybrid and use #3 filters for immersion. I'll just use the #3s for everything once the #2 are gone. Makes a great cup of coffee no matter how you use it but if you are the type who likes to experiment, it is really fun trying different methods.
