Great series, well directed and acted
I have fond memories of watching this series on TV in my early teens. It's really well directed and Cassavetes is perfect. I hope this goes some way to correct the 1* review left by michaeljacobs, obviously in error.

Looks Good But
This looks good, with nice insets of live jazz, but the story-lines are so simplistic that it could really only appeal to children. It puzzles me as to what audience they were trying to reach when this was first broadcast. Important to note that John Cassavetes is here purely in an acting capacity.
