Nice but needs a little work
The holes on the "gears" are just a hair too big, so they do not catch and work as they should. If the holes were just a hair smaller, or if you were using a stronger glue, I think it would work perfectly.Also, pieces were delicate, be careful with removing them. Plan ahead with decor placement and pause for glue drying.

Lovely kit to get creative with!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Really enjoyed painting. Acrylics and water based varnish work well. Fiddly assembly but enjoyable. A little bit of separation of veneer on back plate but little bit of glue and paintbrush fixed that. Going to do London next.

Quality not good.
A great idea that looked promising,Disappointed with the quality as one of the sheets of wood laminate was warped and had been scorched by the laser cutting and had peeled apart.Enjoyed putting it together but found because of the imperfections is difficult to operate.

lovely model
excellent wooden moving model ( automata) with lots of different ways to decorate the levels /layers to adjust how it looks . Good idea to stain/colour wood before you glue together . Smooth down pieces gently to get the best fit, be careful some are very delicate.

Needs painting, do it before construction
This is a very nice kit and the instructions are very good. It looks a bit boring if you don’t paint it, but it is essential to paint it before you start construction. Unfortunately I didn’t and it was very tricky trying to paint it after it was finished.

So good I bought two
I bought two of these to give as gifts. I know from past experience they are beautifully designed and engineered and appeal to all ages and interests. I shall be buying more.
