Excellent pocket watch
I loved the watch the minute I unboxed it and put it to work. Looks great at day time as glows in the dark. The magnifying glass not only enhances the face but can be used as a magnifying glass and as a stand on night table.I liked it so much that I upgraded it with an pure silver vest chain. The winding is very smooth to the touch...and so far keeps excellent time. The big numbers on the face plus the half moon indicting day and night have effective visibility. This without a doubt is a good quality pocket watch. RECOMMENDED

Ogle magnifying pocket watch
Quite nice. Has some heft to it. I've not had it long but, it is keeping time and is very easy on the eyes.

Adding a star -- 4 stars because self-winding mechanism working now.
Nice, easy to read numbers, magnifying glass is fine. I've only had this a few days. Has a "short" spring, meaning the self-winding feature is not enough to keep it running. Not a big deal, unless you forget to wind it before bed and when you get up. There is no "moon phase" --it just shows a sun in the day, and a moon at night. The small dial is just a 24 numbered dial to match the numbers on the face. A Tourbillon is meant to keep a watch functioning at the same speed regardless of the position of the watch (i.e., horizontal or vertical). I can't tell if this is a true function here or just a visual decoration. I would be satisfied if it would just run all the time with the self-winding mechanism.

Great look
Like it, so far so good, weight and style are a big plus, mechanics works great, Let you know in 12 years if dissapointed.😉

Not all silver
Works as a watch should. Auto wind works. I am Mediterranean, my skin has a high PH...after a week smaller parts have turned pink from silver plating rubbing off to copper.

Great watch
I've only had the watch for about two weeks, but it keeps perfect time, and is beautiful. It has a nice heavy feel, and seems to be made well. Love it so far

I LOVE this watch!
I like oversized personal implements, like fountain pens. This watch is bulky, bulkier given its covering magnifying glass. It's a trifle fast (3 minutes every 3 says) but who cares? You wind it and adjust it every couple of days - big deal! The design is less than perfect since the magnifying cover flips down to become a watch-rest, which works well BUT, the angle is too acute - 90 degrees, when it should be more like 110-120. Big deal? No - you get used to it. Wonderful watch. Requires an oversized pocket watch case which is a slight problem. I LOVE this watch!

Everything I Needed--I Thought!
I cannot wear a wristwatch on the job, and walk 10 miles or more. This was a logical choice, but was better than I anticipated. It has a lot of heft, looks great, winds automatically as billed, keeps good time, and the luminous face makes it great in the dark. I was expecting a stem triggered release for the magnifying cover, which is a friction mechanism. I do not know how that will do over time. Very pleased with the purchase. One week update:The watch has kept as close to perfect time as I can establish, and the amount of walking I do every day keeps it virtually fully wound. Unlike other pocketwatches I've had it doesn't matter whether it is sitting flat or vertical in your pocket--it keeps the same time. As a practical everyday timepiece an enthusiastic five stars! Two month update: for a period of a few weeks the watch was losing a minute a day. I kept it wound and in my pocket and, poof, it was keeping good time again... Still very satisfied, though if you do not do a LOT of walking you will have to do some supplemental winding.Final update: watch has developed a (hand) winding problem that has it losing some four hours daily. I really wanted to like this watch. While by no means expensive, a timex at half the cost would have made it farther than two months...
