No Starter Pull Rope
I'm joking about "no starter pull rope." I have a half-acre lot with three 33-year-old monster size trees that force me to use a loud heavy Echo Leaf Shredder/Mulcher most of the time. It is the single most difficult disgusting dirty lumbar-aching lawn chore I have. The oak leaves are like shoe leather, thus the bulk reduction by the Echo power shredder is not as good as with the ash tree and other leaves. If I do not achieve the 6:1 bulk reduction, I might as well use the Mekkapro hand scoop rakes. My wife first brought home a similar pair of hand rakes, and I scoffed at the notion that they would be useful with my half-acre lot with three monster trees. However, for the sake of my new neighbors with a brand new baby, I decided to try the hand rakes in the areas on or adjacent to my two patios, and near the house in those areas where the wind continually blows the leaves knee-high. The hand rakes or scoops are silent, except for the occasional grunting, groaning, and cursing by me, at having to deal with fallen leaves every autumn. If I fail to pick up leaves every few days, the leaves will kill my over-seed fescue that I usually sow in September. One of us (probably me) inadvertently threw away the first pair of hand rakes, because I stored them in a lightweight cylindrical leaf container that stays on the patio during the leaf gathering months. The container was colored green, similar to the hand leaf scoops. More often than not, I finish the leaf-gathering task after dark. Thus, I probably forgot that I stored the green hand rakes in the same green container I use to hold leaves, which later would be transferred to a larger container with a 42-gallon 2-mill plastic bag - that goes curbside for trash pickup. I guess you could say that I threw the baby out with the bathwater. For me, the hand rakes or scoops are perfect for small areas or any areas where the wind has already made nice piles of leaves. The hand rakes are particularly handy for keeping the patios clear without firing up the noisy Echo gasoline-powered leaf shredder/mulcher. I recommend wearing gloves to prevent contact blisters if you will be using the hand rakes for more than a few minutes. The only recommendation I would have, if I had a vote, would be to change the color of the leaf rakes to day-glow orange, so that dummies like me would be less prone to throwing the leaf rakes out with the leaves. The leaf hand scoop is the perfect solution for bagging leaves near the house, when I am not in the mood to drag out the gasoline-powered leaf mulcher, which sounds like the character in a horror movie, echoing between adjacent houses.Buy these leaf scoops. You cannot get hurt at the modest price, and they require no gasoline or maintenance.

Life just got easier
As expected, these scoops make the job of picking up yard waste much easier and more productive. I'm able to gather and lift large amounts of leaves or grass. One bonus is that they are long enough to allow reaching the ground with much less stooping and bending. My back is grateful. Some have complained that they can break. I have found them to be appropriately sturdy. They are long enough that there is enough leverage to put a lot of strain on them, so I can see how they could be broken, but since leaves and such are lightweight, it's not necessary to bear down on them to lift the debris. I think if used appropriately they will last a long time.

Don't waste your money, these are junk!
Actually 0 stars, but unfortunately you have to enter something! These are junk! Today was the first time I used them...filled one bag, thought, "pretty cool, they worked well, filled a bag quickly". They were uncomfortable, rubbed my wrists, but figured they aren't gloves, they aren't made to fit your hands. Started the 2nd bag, went to scoop up a hand full and it broke/snapped/crumbled in my hand!Unfortunately the Return Period has expired with Amazon... maybe the MFG/vendor will take them back.Update, Amazon made good on the return, agreed to take them back. Thanks Amazon!

Great for the back, less bending over! 2 thumbs up!
Both myself and my neighbor tried this new tool and found it to be very helpful. Great for picking up piles of leaves very quickly with little effort! Possible drawback would be the gauge of the plastic can not handle anything heavier for fear of cracking the plastic but for leaves, a perfect tool. I would suggest perhaps offering a heavier gauge plastic, more durable as a possible upgrade. Enjoy!

A great lawn tool!
I bought these leaf scoops back in 2019 and didn't have a need to use them until recently. They're incredibly easy to use, very sturdy, and grip really well. I've used them to pick up huge piles of leaves, small branches I've pruned from plants, and dead plant material that didn't survive our recent freeze. I was amazed at the amount of material that I could pick up without losing any on the way to the plastic bag. I highly recommend.

Not heavy duty but ok for light work
LIKE: lightweight, easy to use. Makes picking up dry leaves and small debris fast and easier.DISLIKE: not very durable. Thin brittle plastic. It makes it lightweight, but as I opened the box, if fell 2 feet and cracked on the edge.

So much better than using your hands!
This product is perfect for picking up raked leaves, and raked pine needles. You just put them on as shown, scoop up the leaves-needles, and put the leaves-needles, etc. in your mulching bin. The curved "claws" help rake up all the little stuff at the bottom of the pile, and then you have a clean lawn. The claws also really help you hold onto much bigger (like huge) clumps of lawn debris than you would ever get otherwise, and makes lifting it into your bin so easy (no trying to not let anything spill as you lift!) I highly recommend these!

World's Greatest Leaf Scoops
We use this product for scooping leaves. It is far, far better than those sissy little leaf scoops. When my kids were little, if they were assigned to clean up leaves they'd wander around looking for the Klaws and grumbling how they sure weren't going to pick up many leaves without the Klaws. We had two sets. When my son got married, part of his dowry was 50% of the family Klaws. Then things got bad. We'd had our Klaws for a long time (like 20 years), and although they were cracking and wearing out, we couldn't find replacements (only sissy little scoops) on the whole big internet. Seriously, we were repairing our Klaws with duct tape and JB Weld. It was a desperate scene. Last week I was thrilled to find Klaws for sale again. We bought three pair. Quick, everyone, buy yourself some Klaws before they're all sold out.
