ORICOExternal Hard Drive Enclosure USB 3.1 Gen1 to SATA 6Gb/s for 3.5 Inch SATA III SSD HDD, Auto Sleep on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux

Had an old 1TB internal hard drive that I took out of an obsolete PC when I scrapped it. Rather than junk it I purchased a Orico hard drive enclosure. Old hard drive easily slipped into new case. Had to then make it 'visible' to my Windows 10 PC (if needed Google how to do this, not difficult) then formatted drive for a clean start. Straightforward and well pleased with my new stand alone hard drive which otherwise would be in the bin!.

I took a hard drive out of a crashed computer and although most of its data was backed up, I worried what information (mainly old photos) might be lost forever. I bought the Orico hard drive enclosure to try and rescue the data. It took only a couple of minutes to put the hard drive into this caddy, plug it into its own mains source, then via USB into another computer and hurrah! All the information came up as if on any external hard drive. I am happy!

Very well packed. Very easy to install hard disk. Slide off cover, slide the disk in and lock in place with small piece of rubber enclosed. Connect cables and switch on. Recognised immediately. Excellent product.

Thought a see through case would be quite cool to see the inner workings of a HDD. Looks a bit messy instead, however main thing is that it works.

Plugged into usb 3 sata drive.The copy speed is horrendously slow. So slow you need to be an alternative drive.I found from the internet that others have the same problem with this brand.Avoid.

I was peeved when I rceived no power supply adaptor or leads with this item. When I queried this I was ignored by these people.
