Really Nice Smoker Thermometer - Really Nice
I ordered this smoker thermometer last week and installed it this weekend. I replaced my factory Masterbuilt thermometer which is only 2" and was hard to see the numbers on the dial. I did adjust it slightly...just a smidge to the left by using the calibration screw at the back of the thermometer. Really love it. It is pretty accurate and matches the temperature with another internal thermometer that I put inside the smoker. Really easy to read the numbers on the thermometer and I love the colored sections. You can really see from far where the dial is on the thermometer. I can just look outside and see if it has gone up or down.I had looked at quite a few near professional ones, and even one that is very expensive. But this is a great value and is accurate.

Great product at a FAIR price. Quality isn't cheap.
Yes you are going to spend a little more for this thermometer than other models. But if you need accuracy and durability, then there is no other option. I bought four of these for my large smoker, once placed every few feet. They provide measurements which are in line with my digital thermometer that I place near my meat.Just a tip about installation. You don't need a big tool to cut a hole into your smoker. Even if the metal is thick. My smoker was made out of 3/4 inch steel. But a HOLE SAW attached to a drill did just fine. Just make sure to FIRST use the drill guide without the hole saw attached. Then once you've drilled a small hole with the drill guide, then you can attach the hole saw to the drill guide and drill the appropriate sized hole.

Great Product!
Large 3-1/4" diameter face, easy readability, 5°F increments, accurate out of the box. Back of face sits 3/4" above the surface it's mounted to. Uses a 1/2" male national pipe thread 3/4" long and includes a nut and washer so you'll need a 13/16" hole in your BBQ or smoker to mount. Probe extends 1-3/4" from end of thread, so 2-1/2" total. There's calibration screw on the back if you ever need to adjust it.

Calibrated, installed on WSM 18" and lost 2 good cooks
UPDATE 4/27/2024Seller requested RMA, Amazon reports they don't see this.Tracking number 9400116901628797305916DeliveredApril 04, 08:48AMFloodwood, MNNo response from Seller as of April 4, it is now April 27 and 1 follow up sent. Took my money, took the item. I still can't run my smoker since it has a giant gaping hole in it. Seller reports they stand by products but nothing in 3 weeks after RMA.ORIGINAL Review:I've purchased thos based on T-Roys cooking channel. It is my go to when I think aftermarket.I noticed one day my WSM, while doing a brisket, was running like it was too hot but the built in seized up, it has a number of years on it.Fast forward I purchase my second RiverCountry albeit for my 18, I sized up the 2" to the 3" for the 18. It took me a bit to getting around to installing it but I finally did.I ran the same cook and thought everything was OK but I noticed when the lid opened the temp would drop but would not go above 190 but my thermogenesis at dome level was reading 300+I contacted support who had me run the same calibration again to 212 for boiling water using the adjustable screw... and then once more...once again I ran a cook. Same issue. It has been installed for no more than 48 hours.I received an RMA Mar 28, mailed via USPS on their label... delivered April 4. Nothing from vendor and its now 4/23 and still no response and no smoker running. Contacted Amazon and the way they did the return doesn't fall under A to Z for replacement.I have no product and and out the funds until vendor gets back with me - will not be going with the MFG again.

Works good - is big - meet my expectations
Nice, Big, Easy to read and seems fairly accurate. Installed in my UDS to give me a sense for how stable the temperature is holding.Would not recommend cooking without a digital temp probe but this is a great rough estimateThere is an adjustment on the back but mine came ready to go

3" River Country (RC-T3W) Adjustable BBQ Thermometer
The thermometer is easy to read and seems accurate. It arrived quickly. The way it was packaged for shipping wasn't the best. I received the package with a sticker that said it had been damaged during shipping so I wasn't sure what condition the thermometer would be in until I opened the package. The thermometer didn't appear damaged so I used it and it seem to work fine. River Country needs to do a better job packaging their products.

Wow, large and definitely heavy duty
I bought this River Country thermometer to mount in my Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill, Black but first I needed to buy an Irwin Industrial Tools 10234CB #4 Unibit 3/16- Inch - 7/8-Inch, 12-Steps Cobalt Step Drill Bit (1/16- Inch Steps) ($40)(see my review)Irwin cobalt Unibit in order to drill a 13/16" hole and then install this thermometer. After spending a total of exactly $89.50 (incl tax) to buy and customize my little Weber grill, it's now close to perfect.(price = Weber grill + Irwin cobalt unibit + River Country thermometer)

Worked great for the first few month I had it
Bought to use on a smoker that is used a lot for my outdoor cooking. Worked great for the first few month I had it. It then went bad and started reading 75 degrees lower than what was actual cooking temperature inside the smoker.
