New Testament Words (The William Barclay Library)

I highly recommend this book it can add more flavor to some of the words in the Christian Greek Scriptures. This is a nice addition to a theocratic library as reference material. An absolutely beautiful dictionary.

I fell in love with this little book back in the 60s. My original copy lost its binding. I'm happy to have this replacement with its treasure house of semantic gems. Useful for lay, clergy and scholar.

I am very satisfied with my purchase of this particular book. Barclay comes highly recommended and makes for, not only a good read, but he follows a pattern while describing certain Christian docrines. As a matter of fact, I will go as far to recommend W E Vines'Dictionary of OT and NT Words as a companion with Barclay's book so as to broaden the actual meaning of the original Greek language.

This is a wonderful, insightful companion to your Bible. I've not found anyone who can make the Bible come alive like William Barclay. He writes not for the theologian (though they could certainly enjoy his insights), but for the everyday reader of the most wonderful book in the world.

I have not had a chance to finish reading this book. But needless to say that I have always been a huge fan of Dr. Barclay's writing.

Dr. Barclay has been a winner, in my book, for 20 years. This volume is a replacement fora first edition "loaned" to one of my students that did not find its way back. The studentfound it so helpful I gave it to him.

This is a truly great scholastic work by one of the best theological expositors of the 20th century. I have bought many copies of this book, either to replace previous ones that have worn out through heavy use, or to give as gifts to other students of the Greek text.

If you want to dig a bit deeper into the meanings of Greek words in the NT then Barclay gives you an insight you've probably never considered. We gave this to a friend who has found it invaluable. We got this at a good price, and the seller was very quick to send it. Well done.

I have owned the paperback of this work over many decades. I still have it, and treasure it, although it is in a sad state, with a broken spine and pages falling out. To have it in my electronic library is just wonderful Thank you very much

I have had a copy of a similar gook of Barclays for many years. This is an expanded version, including other books on the same subject by this great New Testament schollar.
