Of Men and Mary: How Six Men Won the Greatest Battle of Their Lives

Medugorje is special
As I prepare for a transformative pilgrimage to Medugorje, a remarkable book appeared in my recommended reading list, seemingly orchestrated by divine intervention. The testimonies within this collection reveal a profound spiritual journey shared by multiple individuals who initially lived far from God's path. Each narrative follows a similar arc: a life consumed by sin and spiritual disconnection, followed by a series of challenging events that ultimately lead to a profound spiritual awakening. The testimonies powerfully illustrate how divine intervention works through life's most challenging moments. God appears to strategically deconstruct individuals' existing lives, breaking down their resistance and self-reliance, to rebuild them into something more meaningful and aligned with His divine purpose. These stories offer hope and inspiration to those who feel spiritually lost or believe redemption is beyond their reach.I particularly recommend reading Father Mark Beard's testimony, which provides additional depth and insight into spiritual transformation. The Blessed Virgin Mary's calling to Medugorje represents a powerful invitation to spiritual renewal. For those presented with the opportunity to visit this sacred place, taking a leap of faith can lead to a life-changing spiritual experience that transcends personal limitations and opens new pathways to understanding and connection with the divine.

Like a spiritual shot in the arm!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it in two days! Easy to read and exhilarating! One of the best books I have ever read about the power of our Blessed Mother Mary's intercession in leading souls to Jesus and His Roman Catholic Church. A great book for anyone. The fact that each of the accounts was written by a man yet alive today makes every word a living witness to the reality of God moving in the world in a powerful way today through His Mother. Through simple testimonies, God's end goal of the salvation of our souls is presented --- and the necessity of our participation in working with Him toward this most important of all goals. To help us, He has given us a very special gift --- His own Mother! This book was like a spiritual shot in the arm for me now some twelve years after my initial reversion to Jesus and His Roman Catholic Church through the intercession of Blessed Mother and the prayer of her Rosary; it has re-kindled a joy and confidence in me after being tempted by doubt in recent years. Thank you, Christine Watkins, for this beautiful work --- and thank you to the Holy Spirit for inspiring you to write it! It is, as Fr. Calloway and others have said, truly anointed! I am sharing it with family and friends! May all who read it grow in faith, love and trust for/in our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and through her, in Jesus and His Roman Catholic Church.

Sad indoctrination
I don’t remember ever writing a review on the book because I do not feel qualified or worthy, but the chapter on the gay man struck a nerve every single thing we watched see or read they are introducing some form of indoctrination to accept LGBT even the church has been compromised. I love Mary I love Jesus, but this indoctrination has to stop

A wonderful read
This is a wonderful book to read about God and The Virgin Mary’s present day interactions with people here on earth. It shows that miracles are going on daily in our own communities and Mary is in constant touch with us. We only need to open up our hearts.

Incredible Real Life Stories
This book has been one I could have read in a day. The stories shared have been shocking and inspiring on so many levels. I am Catholic and love my faith. Our Mother Mary and the rosary have been my survival/my life preserver. The lives these men lived and their brutal honesty of their journey is communicated perfectly in Of Men & Mary. It confirms all I already believe as a Catholic woman of 60 years; that the Catholic Church is HOME. Thank you for writing this book. I yearn for another. You will not be bored or regret reading this book!
