The best for homemade boba tea
UPDATE: I found some suggested microwaving instructions online and after some experimentation, highly recommend that over stovetop cooking for the unbeatable convenience factor and for being able to make single fresh servings at a time, since after batch cooking and refrigerating, the boba that had to be broken apart was never as good as when fresh. My microwave is 1000 watts. I use a 2-cup glass measuring cup, pour a little more than a single layer of boba across the bottom, then fill with water up to the 3/4 cup line. Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes. Take it out, add a little more water up to the 1 cup line. Return to the microwave and heat another 1:10. Let stand for a few minutes. Then pour the contents out into a small strainer held over a sink, dump the boba into your tea, and voila! Easy, fresh boba every time. I can't describe how much this has elevated the level of my homemade boba tea drinks. Some tips. I wouldn't try to use a smaller container than 2 cups, as the water bubbles quite high and vigorously during heating. Also don't make the mistake of heating the boba too many minutes, thinking that longer time will only make them softer. At some point overheating will actually harden the boba into little rocks. Ask me how I know. So if the boba are not soft enough after the above instructions, definitely try either small incremental increases to the heating times, or letting the boba rest in the hot water for longer time after heating, before straining and adding to cold tea.ORIGINAL REVIEW: WuFuYuan boba packages are by far the most convenient way to make tasty homemade boba tea at home. The quick-cooking makes them more likely to turn out right (not too hard or too soft), and it's so much cheaper than buying individual drinks at stores. All my local Asian groceries stopped selling these except for one store, and when this item (3-pack) is on sale, the price is comparable to in-store, so I might as well save on gas and get it delivered to my house. I pair it with milk tea prepared from Greenmax Boba Milk Tea Powder (I mix in more than the suggested amount for more flavor/sweetness) which is also available on Amazon, though I get mine in-store as that's noticeably cheaper there.Because I'm lazy and like 1 drink per day, I batch cook all 3 packages one right after the other, and store all the boba, mixed with a good amount of honey, in one tall, circular plastic food container in the refrigerator. Taking the container out of the fridge after it's cooled, all the boba will be stuck together like crazy. I use a spoon to forcefully break off a big chunk of boba, drop it in the bottom of a glass, microwave for about 40 seconds, and then pour cold milk tea on top. I take a big straw, stick it in the boba chunk, and shake it wildly until the boba have all detached from each other and are floating freely again. It's important to cook the boba in a large amount of water such that they won't be too sticky/starchy to separate after microwaving and shaking. I once tried to cook all 3 packages at once in a small pot with not enough water, and let's just say I don't think a hurricane could have separated the boba at that point. One thing to watch out for is that occasionally the packages can get some moisture inside them. They do not have dry/absorbent packs inside. So if you start seeing small water droplets forming, normally on the back side of the package, it's probably time to quickly cook that package, as I doubt the boba will be good for much longer in the presence of moisture.

Perfect instant boba!
I remember having to boil boba pearls whenever I wanted some, so I'm glad there's now a quick microwave option! I usually cook mine for about 5 or so mins to get the level of chewiness I like (plus it's better to overcook boba than to undercook). Also, a couple of the comments were saying the flavor wasn't what they were expecting because they're expecting the boba shop tapioca pearls right out the bag. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO ADD SUGAR (or brown sugar syrup) after cooking! It even says so on the instructions! A tip is that adding more sugar than you think you'll need will make it taste more like the boba shop pearls. Overall though, the product is good and well worth the money. Like, 10 bucks for 3 bags? It's a steal

Pretty good
These are pretty good. I dont like the none sealable bag but meh. Making them in the microwave is a learning curve. I dont have time for the stove in the morning with kids and animals and getting ready for work. Here's what I do for the microwave: get a coffee mug fill it and put it on 2 minutes to heat the water up. Then pour the boba in the hot water in the mug and put the mug back in for 5 minutes . If you pour them in cold water and start it they won't be done. To me trial and error

Buying again and again
The best boba I have gotten. Just like the bubble tea chains. And the easiest to make.
